Logitech M170 Wireless Mouse: The sensor not working properly, how to fix it?

The sensor is kind of weird. Sometimes it stops moving the cursor when I move the mouse. I thought it was loose, so I opened it up and tightened it, but it's still acting weird. any idea how to fix it?

Scroll is not working on my mouse and it seems very free . I assume some friction is required to make this work . I opened the mouse, cleaned it but of not much value.
