Logitech Dual Action: Left analog stick not working properly?

I have a Playstation style controller for my PC, that’s about 3 years old. I was playing a game (from STEAM, Samurai Warriors 5) and i was using the left analog stick to move my fighter around the battlefield for most of my game today. All of a sudden, the character won’t move w/ the stick any more (can still use the d-pad to move) but the stick can still move the cursor around in the game menus. Can someone please help?

So basically, I’ve been trying to play games with my controller, and it only SOMETIMES connects, and if it does it’s only for a split second, I think it might be because a bit of the special uhh, whats it called? protective case of the wires is exposed, like the white stuff, it’s from the Kittens I have.

Hi, i just bought ifixit pro tech tool kit but unfortunately it cannot reach some screws that is deep down and has small opening diameter (screw hole diameter is smaller than the ifixit 64 bit driver head) . Do you have a trick to solve that?

I realize they are two different machines but I play Mac games and like the tactile interface of the controller. and That I would need two different ones.
