Lg smart tv: Dim grey screen, no picture, good sound.

Hello,

I have an LG 55 inch smart tv, 55UK5090PUA. The screen suddenly went from a solid picture to a dimly lit grey screen. There was no transition where it was intermittent - it just stopped displaying a picture, although when I pressed hot buttons to get to a streaming service, I could hear the sound.

After trying the reset/troubleshooting, I replaced the Main Board with the same replacement part (EBT65513202), plugged everything back in, with the same results. I guess now I have a back-up.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should check next (and how)? With the back off the TV, you can see the back lights on for sure, so I believe there is juice moving through the power board.

Thank You in advance,

Evan

Lg smart tv: Is this a reasonable fix or should I buy new?

[image|2628444]I've had an LG smart tv for about 8 months. One day I began having strange color Distortions that seem to bleed from certain objects as they pass. It's not an all the time occurrence. If you look near the pause icon and near Rikers throat you can see it. Most of the time it's colors spilling off moving logos and yellows and greens playing off each other.

I typically noticed during gaming and non animated shows. I've swapped HDMI cables, tried all available ports, done a factory reset, and used different video game consoles. Is there a fix or this tv shot? Thanks.

Issues started after watching TV for several hours. Has never happened before. Green, horizontal lines flicker frequently on the screen while playing and while pauses. Less frequently, the screen will flicker to black for less than a second and the sound will also pause. Then it will return to normal.

Lg smart tv: LG TV no screen after storm

Hi

Hi
My LG 32NL575v TV's screen no longer works since a recent thunder storm.
The sound is OK but nothing from the screen, not even faint when checking with a flashlight.
I have the back off and there's no visible damage to any components. It could be the T-Con board and replacements are available. Just wondering if there's a way to test it before buying.
Any help appreciated.

Lg smart tv: No image on screen, only vertical lines - LG 49UK6090PUA

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my TV. To preface, I'm relatively tech savvy but not far enough when working with electronic components so I may need a little guidance.

This TV gets used from time to time and is never moved. One day I turned it on and I got no image and some vertical white lines.

Clicking the buttons on the remote gives me audio so things are happening but it's not showing me any of it.

I've taken off the back of the TV to look for anything obvious but I'm not even sure where to start here.

I was hoping you guys could have more insight than me.

I've included some images of what the turned on TV looks like as well as some of the elements on the back of the TV.

Thanks!!

Worth noting.

I turned the TV on with the back opened up.

This unit on the power supply chip is wayy hot and making a clicking noise after letting the TV run for a bit.

The TV also automatically turned off. Could be software related though (after 15m of no activity)
