Lenovo ThinkPad X260: Blank screen or not booting up problem check

My screen stays blank or initial start up so I don’t know if the screen itself, the connection cables or the device itself is faulty. I’ve changed the internal battery and BIOS chip for brand new replacement components and it didn’t make any difference.

The indicator back lights (on keyboard and lid) illuminate so I believe the power supply is okay.

Took the Thinkpad to a local repair cafe and the guy suspected the screen was faulty. He suggested taking the laptop home and plug the unit into the television via HDMI to HDMI cable. Done this and the television came up with no signal to the HMI port. So I’m at a lost now and wondering if the motherboard is faulty or is the screen faulty.

Just wondering if anyone else as had the same problem and can offer some advice on how to diagnose the problem?

hello, I just got a quick question. I have just received a ThinkPad X260 i7 CPU 256 SSD hard drive. I just removed the 256 SSD hard drive and replaced it with 1 terabyte hard drive and try to download some games on there and it kind of crashed my hard drive and I could not even format it or do anything to it just got locked up and it doesn’t even show up in the task manager or partition the hard drive with paragon software . it’s that true that thinkpad x260 can’t be playing games on the laptop. and also I did replacing the thermal paste on the heat sink fan. Is it just normal still kind of little hot on the laptop . when i received and play around with it alittle and it does gets hot on the left side thank you .
