Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: Laptop does not boot with RAM in second slot

There seems to be a well known problem with one of the ram slots doing in this laptop. There is a reddit thread about the problem here. I happen to be experiencing the same issue and figured I would ask if anyone has had the same issue and has found a better way of diagnosing and fixing the specific issue.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet not turning on

My tablet started having this issue where it won't turn on today. It was working fine yesterday, but when I tried turning it on this morning, it wouldn't. I've tried the plug in and press power button for 20 seconds then unplug and press power button for another 20 seconds, but that didn't work.

I have artwork on my tablet so I would much prefer if I didn't do a factory reset since none of it is stored on my SD card.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: ThinkPad kayboard row not working properly after water spill

I have Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 that I spilled some water on last week. I waited a few days then tested it out and found that the keyboard was typing q1 w2 e3 r4 instead of q w e r for the entire row and a few more keys are also not working.

I tested with an external keyboard and it worked fine so I thought I would only need to replace the keyboard. Now the new keyboard is also having similar issues, although fewer keys are affected.

I uninstalled the driver and tested on both Windows and Ubuntu (dual boot) to verify that it's not a software problem.

Here's the keys not working on the new keyboard: q w e r t u y i p 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 0 turn into q1 w2 e3 so on. The column 9 o l . doesn't work at all.
