Lenovo ThinkPad T490s: Lenovo T490 ThinkPad Touchscreen Constant Blackout

Why is my screen constantly shutting off and not turning back on by any means besides doing a hard restart?

(holding down power button until cpu shuts off), not control+alt+delete, not escape, not spacebar, not escape, not print-screeen, not windows button, nor any F keys.. Its never a specific key or reason it shuts off and sometimes stays on longer than others. But when it goes off, nothing works whatsoever until i do a shut down, then power on again. I want to smash it, but its new (refurbished bought off of Best Buy)
