Hello, I have this specific laptop model where BIOS is locked. I tried to find EEPROM but I found two of them similar types. They are labeled in the board as U15 and U49 . I do not know which one I need to short to disable the BIOS lock. I tried both but it did not work. Am I missing something

Hi , i really nerd help please ! I have a le novo thinkpad t470s with a dual battery and it won't turn on , when i press the on button the keyboard lights up like its going to turn on but it shutdown rightaway , i tries to hold for 30 sec the botton but nothing happened , the batteries are difficult to remove im afraid if i do that i'll break it .

Hi I bought a battery from ifixit but I noticed it dropped from around 50% to 6% after only 3 weeks of use at 27 cycles.

Does anyone know where I can contact ifixit support for this as they should still be covered under warrenty. (the other battery works perfectly fine)?

EDIT here is an screenshot of my battery capacity just dropping as I found it odd to have this poblem.

Lenovo ThinkPad T470S: Battery Issues - Stays @ 5% while plugged in, will not charge.

Hi everyone! My dad gave me a thinkpad a few months ago. it is a T470s model, product number 20JTS1FQ02. It will not charge anymore, and the battery level remains at 5%. This all happened shortly after a windows update, but I'm not sure the two are related.

I have an update available for the BIOS and the Intel Engine Management Firmware, however I cannot apply said updates until the battery has a minimum charge of 25%. I pulled the rear panel out, disconnected both batteries for about 30s, and then put them back in after pressing the "emergency" button on the back for about 15s. Do the batteries need to be installed for that button to do anything?

If my batteries are shot, I can replace them. I see on the site here there is a genuine replacement LiPo for the rear battery, but I can't seem to find the front one. I found one that works on the T460, but I can't verify its compatability with the T470s. Looks to be the same but I'd rather not buy it and be stuck with it if it does not work.

Any help would be appreciated, I need this laptop to work for my classes.

Today i noticed my Samsung 500GB M.2 NVME SSD (MZVLB512HAJQ-0007) (from a Lenovo ThinkPad T470s) was running at 70-90C (According to HWINFO and SIV). this was while idling on the desktop. there is an ample amount of airflow in my PC case, so I was wondering if a heatsink with thermal pads would help.
