Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2: Need help fixing my display please..

Hello, I am in need of finding the necessary tools and parts to fix my laptop. I need 2 cords that attach to one side of the hinges of the display screen. The hinge broke on the inside but can still be used, but the 2 cords that go into the display are needing to be replaced. I feel competent to fix it myself but I can't seem to find the cords anywhere.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2: fan spins hard when power button is pressed, then dies

when the power button is pressed, my T14 gen 2i spins the fan full blast, then it shuts off. it doesn't post or power on anything else besides the fan.

I tried the battery reset button with a pin once 45 secs and worked great for a week give or take, then started doing it again to no avail from the reset button. I tried turning it on by unplugging the battery, doing a power cycle, trying the second usbc port, plus taking out the cmos battery for a reset too, but now it does it despite all the changes.

Gemini says it could be a shortened mosfet, capacitor, and whatever else. does anybody know what I can do? or is it microsoldering?

Thanks

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2: Issue while replacing my T14 Gen 2 screen with a UHD panel

Hey,

I’ve been trying to upgrade my FHD display to a UHD panel. I bought the required 40-pin eDP cable (FRU: 5C10Z23933) and UHD screen (FRU: 5D11C95781/CSOT MNE001EA1-5), which are the parts listed on <ins>the Lenovo Parts website</ins>.

I disabled the battery in BIOS and physically, then swapped the parts. Everything went fine until I tried to power the laptop back on for a test. It would not start at all, even with the charger plugged in. I initially thought I had damaged something on the motherboard, since I’ve read that this can happen during display swaps. I then reinstalled the original FHD screen and the laptop boots normally again.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this, or what I should check next? I'm wondering if I have a bad cable or if this broken. Would it cause this?
