Lenovo Tab S8: Why does the screen of my lenovo tablet keep dimming randomly?

Sometimes when I use my lenovo tablet, it randomly dims the screen, even when I don't try to dim it. Help?

Yesterday it was working fine. Charged overnight and now....nothing. I tried looking for the hard reset button behind the SD cover, but can't find it. Anyone have a picture of it so I know what i'm looking for?

Otherwise, other suggestions? I tried holding the power button for 20 secs with AC plugged in/AC not plugged it. I tried holding power + VolDown. I tried pretty much all combos of buttons. Nothing.

It's possible the charging port stopped working and the battery is dead, but I don't know how to test that.

Help?

Lenovo Tab S8: How do you replace the screen?

I accidentally dropped my tablet (Lenovo Tab S8) whilst it was inside my bag, and it caused a small crack near the bottom speaker, which spread across the bottom half of the screen. This has effected the touch sensitivity of my screen meaning It won't respond to anything in the bottom half. Is there any way of replacing my screen myself or will I have to pay for an expert to replace it?

Lenovo Tab S8: Lenovo Tab s8-50 Wont turn on

My tab is not rooted, and I did a system update, during the update, tab died and wont turn back on. Here are the things i've tried: (all test where done with 30min - 1 hour or charging time in between)

- Power Cycles (plugged + power btn 20+ secs, etc etc.) - no go

- Removal of power ribbon + power button then connect to charger - no go

- Vol + power conncet to PC - no go

My hope was to flash it with the latest rom from Lenovo, but my tab cant be detected by the PC.

Been 3 days working with this, Any help please?

Hi all!

I have a tablet that is showing no sign of life whatsoever. Nothing happened to it, seemingly the battery just died while connected to a computer that went to hibernate, and the next day no way to turn the tablet back on.

All in all, I'm figuring it might just be the USB connector, which I'm hoping for because they are quite easy to find on ebay and such (which is also why I'm suspecting this may just be a common fault on those tablets). But before buying and playing with a soldering iron, I'd like to diagnose it.

Is there an easy way to do this? Using an old USB cable and bypassing the connector by connecting two leads directly to the main board, or something along those lines?

Lenovo Tab S8: Battery draining & Performance Drop

My Lenovo Tab S8 has been showing a remarkable Battery life draining in Past month. I haven't installed or upgraded any App or Services recently. I tried to save more battery life by disabling some power consumption settings. And I did Erase Cache Partition as well. I was able to work even under Battery Saving Mode without any performance issue. But disabling those settings didn't get any performance increase or Battery life increase. 3D games like Mortal Kombat X mobile was working fine on this Tab. With recent issues, I couldn't Run the game, as it takes minutes to load & movements were more like Slow motion. But Today I found something Wonderful about performance. When it plugs in to Charger, Performance is good as earlier. When I unplug the Charger, again it goes back to Slow motion speed. Please can anyone give me some clue to fix this. I thought it was some Software issue & even thought to Reset the Tab. But now it seems to have only Power consumption issue. This happens even for Offline games as well.

I was in my tablet specifically doing maths hwk and it went all weird and fuzzy for about 5 seconds then turned off when I hold the power button for any amount of time the tablet does a short vibrate around every 4 seconds but nothing else I have no idea why it did it or what I should so next
