Lenovo Legion: Lenovo Legion Pro5 16IRX9, no power after ECreplacement, PU6201 damage

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. I found a previous answer saying PU6201 is an RT6585CGQW Richtek voltage regulator, and it was one of the clearest references I found online. I am dealing with a similar Lenovo Legion motherboard issue and would appreciate any advice.

My laptop is a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX9, Type 83DF.

The laptop originally stopped working and had no power. During the repair process, the EC / Super I/O chip was identified as faulty.

EC chip: ITE IT5570E

I replaced the EC chip, but after that, another issue appeared. The chip at location PU6201 now seems damaged. Here is the image

From what I found online, PU6201 might be:

RT6585CGQW
Richtek voltage regulator

I wanted to ask if this is the correct replacement part for PU6201 on my board, or if this Lenovo Legion Pro 5 motherboard uses a different version.

I would also appreciate advice on what checks I should do before replacing PU6201. I do not have much experience with motherboard repairs, so any guidance would help a lot.

Thank you very much for your time.

Here is the wider shot of the chip

Legion 5 15ARH05H: Random power offs, bluescreens and low performance

Hello

My laptop randomly powers off or get bluescreen with errors like:

1)Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Netio.Sys

2)kernel auto boost lock acquisition with raised irql

3)attempted execute of noexecute memory

nvlddmkm. Sys

4)kmode exception not handled

5)kernel security test failed

6)memory management

7) irql_not_less_or_equal (not same as 1))

The most common are 1), 7), 4)

Also the performance of the laptop is low, it's not overheating. Sometimes it drops performance up to bare minimum for 2 seconds while playing as basic thing as homm3. At the same time it holds up baldur's gate 3 at some decent level.

age of the laptop is not the problem

Lenovo Legion 5-15IMH05: My "d" key randomely stopped working

I've had this laptop for a bit less than two years, and I've had no accidents with it, no falls, but some while ago my "d" key stopped working, I've narrowed it down to be sure this is a hardware issue but I don't know what exactly it can be. I've tried checking the springs under the cap but everything looks fine down there. Could someone please let me know what I can do to possibly fix it?

Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH: keyboard not working, functions keys are working

only the function keys (adjusting display brightness) work. Every other key stopped working a long time ago, though I have always used an external keyboard which works. Over the years I have searched on this issue and many on Reddit have had the same problem. The solution was to restart the laptop without power cable plugged in. This was working for me but then I got really annoyed and took on the challenge to fix it by any means neccessar. I thought it was a simple bios fix, but I installed outdated bios version BHCN26WW, which bricked my laptop so I had to flash the bios using CH341 programmer, I think I flashed it to BHCN43WW or 44 don't know. It unbricked my laptop but didnt fix the issue, until I switched OFF the Turn on fast startup option from Control panel -> Power options. This fixed my keyboard and it would work enough if the power cable was plugged in, so basically it was working normally, except for keyboard backlight not working (even from Lenovo Vantage app). However, for some reason few months later the keyboard completely stopped working (aside from function keys still working).

Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH: horizontal green white flickering lines in screen

whitish-green horizontal flickering lines on the screen. its Lenovo legion y540, but that device was not in the option so I chose y530 coz its structure is exactly the same as this one. it has Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060. when I looked up the device manager, the display adapter Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 has a danger sign next to it, but it’s updated. I don’t know what’s wrong there.

the lines don’t appear in the bios window. it appears from the logo itself when I start the pc.

I called Lenovo support, they think its software issue and windows need to be cleanly reinstalled again. but I read here and there that it could be the fault of loose screen connection as well, I don’t want to reinstall everything coz its a big step and it takes so long.

can someone tell me if its really a software issue or some hardware issue?

Lenovo Legion 5-15IMH05H: My windows and the "q" keys just stopped working

They both started to stopped working at the same time, and sometimes if I press both at the same time and apply pressure in a circular way, they start working fine for a bit, but if left unpressed, they stop working again and the solution changes like sometimes pressing Fn with the "q" and doing the same pressure the "q" and the windows key work.

So it's definitely a hardware issue, and I want to know if it's fixable because I have been to a repair shop and was told they need to change the whole keyboard without even inspecting it, so I am not buying it.
