Lenovo Legion: Lenovo Legion Pro5 16IRX9, no power after ECreplacement, PU6201 damage

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. I found a previous answer saying PU6201 is an RT6585CGQW Richtek voltage regulator, and it was one of the clearest references I found online. I am dealing with a similar Lenovo Legion motherboard issue and would appreciate any advice.

My laptop is a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX9, Type 83DF.

The laptop originally stopped working and had no power. During the repair process, the EC / Super I/O chip was identified as faulty.

EC chip: ITE IT5570E

I replaced the EC chip, but after that, another issue appeared. The chip at location PU6201 now seems damaged. Here is the image

From what I found online, PU6201 might be:

RT6585CGQW
Richtek voltage regulator

I wanted to ask if this is the correct replacement part for PU6201 on my board, or if this Lenovo Legion Pro 5 motherboard uses a different version.

I would also appreciate advice on what checks I should do before replacing PU6201. I do not have much experience with motherboard repairs, so any guidance would help a lot.

Thank you very much for your time.

Here is the wider shot of the chip

Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2: Refusing to power on, power button only blinks

Hello,

So im having this issue where my laptop only blinks its power button, it does not start up, no other lights come on, the power button only blinks. This is the behavior i've observed:
(It doesn't do this anymore, skip to next line) Upon charging it, it makes a high pitched noise (happens with or without the battery, around the charging port area),
When I press the power button, it stays on for 9 seconds,
It then starts blinking, with the pattern of on for 8 seconds, and off for 3,
I've looked at the manual and it does not say anything about this,
Holding the power button for 5s makes the blinking stop,
Holding the power button for ~15s the power button gives 3 short blinks, different from the ones its been doing before,
Ive also tried these to try to fix my problem:
Booting without RAM, booting without SSD, booting with neither, taking out CMOS battery and waiting half an hour and trying again, booting without battery, using a different RAM module, using a different SSD, all previous fix attempts without the battery, taking out the battery and holding the power button for 60 seconds, and finally taking out the battery, holding down the power button to let it "drain the remaining charge", and trying to boot.
I know that the laptop takes a charge as some leds come on (just the charging light) and it also does the same behavior, and while unplugged the battery holds a charge as I can still try to power it on.
I got it for free, and I have no idea what the previous history of the machine is but visually it looks fine and upon opening it nothing looks out of the ordinary.
I have a video showcasing the behavior here, but it does not pick up the high pitched noise:
https://imgur.com/a/FH7qda0

1)Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Netio.Sys

2)kernel auto boost lock acquisition with raised irql

3)attempted execute of noexecute memory

5)kernel security test failed

6)memory management

7) irql_not_less_or_equal (not same as 1))

The most common are 1), 7), 4)

Also the performance of the laptop is low, it's not overheating. Sometimes it drops performance up to bare minimum for 2 seconds while playing as basic thing as homm3. At the same time it holds up baldur's gate 3 at some decent level.

age of the laptop is not the problem

Lenovo Yoga 710-11ISK: My lenovo 710 11ikb laptop is getting very hot and slows down

Why is my computer getting so hot after using it for 2 years with no problem?

This computer has no fan - it is fanless cooling technology.

It is a Lenovo Yoga 710 11ikb (not ISK - there was no option for 11ikb).

I use the computer sitting on a small book, it is elevated and air freely flows underneath it.

I have had it for 2 years. When I use it to teach english online (video-phone type platform) it starts to get very hot. The processes slow down and this effects the ping and makes it really difficult to work with video phone platforms.

Recently the air temperature is around 33-39 degrees celcius (about 90-100F) in the room where I am working because it is hot season where I live and I do not have AC. could this be the problem or part of the problem?

Not sure if it makes a difference but recently the computer fell and the touch screen cracked. It is still usuable as a screen but i has to disable the touch screen.

What can I do? Does it need to be taken to a repair shop?
