lenovo 500e: Headphone jack broke off in aux port

In other Chromebook models, you can open up the Chromebook and push a broken off headphone jack from the other side. This didn't work for this model. Is there a suggestion for getting it out besides the super glue method?

Lenovo IP Flex 5 Chromebook 14IAU7: Lid hinge screw mounts have broken from plastic

This laptop has a lid that can rotate about 270 degrees, so you can use it sort of like a tablet. My son loved this function, but unfortunately the mounts for the left hinge didn't. After repeated strain the mounts for the screws holding the left hinge broke.

These are metal threaded mounts set in plastic. The plastic surrounding the metal threaded mount is intact, but it separated from the plastic attached to the lid. As a result the hinge just pulls away when you try to move the lid.

I've already tried using Gorilla Glue (like super glue) to glue the mounts back on, but the mounts just ripped away as soon as I tried to rotate the screen back into position. I think I need a stronger epoxy, perhaps, that will be a much stronger bond, but I'm not sure what I can get that is 1) strong enough and 2) safe to use in electronics.

From my research I think I can use Loctite 406, but I didn't know if anyone else had a better suggestion. Is there a way to avoid glueing the mounts altogether?

Lenovo 100e Chromebook: Won't power on

I do chromebook repairs for a school district and I have come across a couple hundred 100es that have a charge light, are fully charged (left on charger for 1 day or more), but don't seem to turn on. I've verified that the battery and screen/topcase are working by testing them on other chromebooks. I've also plugged in an external display and the cbs are not sending any display signal. Seems to be any issue with the motherboard perhaps?

I've tried these troubleshooting steps (aside from verifying the physical components as noted above)
-forcing a powerwash

-draining flea power

-unplugging all connections from motherboard and reseating them

-toggling "shipping mode" on the batteries

Sorta at a loss. Anyone else experience this issue or have a fix ?

Lenovo Chromebook: Any ideas on how to remove small silica gel balls from headphone jack

So everyone recently got new chromebooks and protective pouches, but the pouches had silica gel packs which many didnt remove, so many are breaking open, and then the little beads inside are getting stuck in peoples headphone port.

I know iFixit sells the extractor tool, but I dont know if it would work in this case as its not a headphone jack, but a small round bead.

If anyone has any ideas on what to try, or if the tool would work, that would be great.

Also, one was taken apart, but there is no easy way to remove it from the inside.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure a lot of people ask this and get the answer to basically reset the laptop, but I have to turn my Chromebook back into the school in two or three years, I just need a way to get around school blocks to access some sites (Mostly for school reasons) because just about every website is blocked.
