Leapster L-Max: How do I get the battery to charge?

I cannot get the battery to recharge. The green light flashes while charging for more than 8 hrs. Battery still not charged. I have cleaned the terminals as recommended by the company, but no luck.

I am willing to buy a new battery if I could just find one.

Leapster L-Max: How would you replace a screen on the Leapster?

My kid has a Leapster L-Max but the touch screen is scratched. He no longer plays with it but I want to fix it before I sell it.

Has anyone taken one of these apart and? And where can I find a replacement screen?

Leapster L-Max: Leapster L-Max Touchscreen's Ribbon Cable Terminals "Broken"

Hi,

A bit of background before going into the issue:

I wanted to source my long-forgotten Leapster handheld for its touchscreen, to make it as a poor excuse for Raspberry Pi hardware.

After successfully tearing apart the device to expose its innards, I was stupid enough to scrape off a number of the display ribbon cable’s 23 soldered terminals. Same thing happened with the smaller touchscreen input ribbon, although only one terminal was severed.

Clearly you can see how much of an idiot I am with electronics. Despite this, I make a dismal attempt to reach out to ifixit for advice on how to continue a lost cause.

Apparently, the screen was manufactured by a company called “GiantPlus”. Trying to search the parts’ numbers or the company itself yields not much. GiantPlus still exists, but the specific screen for the L-Max does not, it seems.

There you have it. I doubt anybody can actually fix my problem. What I’m supposed to do now with a useless, deprecated piece of hardware is beyond me.

I've tried to factory reset my leap TV by following all instructions. Turn on leap TV,

Press sync button until light blinks,

Follow all instructions on screen,

but after 5mins of reset, all profiles and games are still there. Any ideas???

Has anyone been able to use LeapFrog Connect software on their Mac? I was able to use the software for the first book purchased for LeapStart 3d. However, now Connect won’t even open. I’m running Mac OS 10.15. I’ve uninstalled the software, reinstalled, downloaded support drivers, all to no avail…contacted their horrible customer support (they only send emails, they don’t help you over the phone). Any help is appreciated!!
