Leaf Blower: Got wet and attempted use while still wet fixable?

my dce100b got wet in a rain shower and my wife didn't know to dry it out before attempted use and pulled the trigger while it was still drenched. Is there any way to repair it now? If so what parts would I need and would it even be worth my time to try and fix it? They're about $199 for the tool only i wonder what parts would need replacing for it to work properly again?

Ive replaced the carburetor, the air filter, and the spark plug. I cannot keep this thing running. It seemed like it might run at one point, but it quit after running only a few minutes and wouldn't start again. Maybe a heat censor issue?

Craftsman Blower 31679461 2012: Installed Two New Carbs and the Blower Won't Stay Running

I have never run into this before - I cleaned the carburetor and that didn't work so I ordered a new one and installed it. It started but would not rev up or stay running. Like it was starving for gas. I thought the carburetor was faulty so I ordered a replacement and installed it but had the same outcome. I have installed new gas lines, new gas filter, new air filter, new spark plug and new gasket. I'm stumped. And I did check to make sure I had the the two gas lines on correctly. When I pump the primer bulb, gas comes up and the return goes back to the tank. I know it's old but it ran great until a week ago after adding gas stabilizer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Bill

I have a 6 year old Stihl BG 86. It barely starts and will only run on half choke, when I throttle it dies. This is what I've done so far with no success, same problem with no changes:

Checked spark plug, checked the air filter, checked the spark arrestor and mufler, replaced the carburetor, fuel lines and filter. Final item, replaced the tank vent.

I'm puzzled as what to do next, any help/suggestions would be great appreciated,

Leaf Blower: AC Powered Leaf Blower, blown electronic component.

A/C powered leaf blower will not power up.
Unit is a 2 speed blower (Off / Low / High ).
Unit is a WeedEater, model: Baracuda 2595 Super Blower, 120v, 12A, Type 1. ⏎

Upon disassembly, discovered an electronic component (a diode, or a capacitor ? ), that is across the AC input on the main power switch has failed, and is in pieces!

I need to understand what size of diode (if it is a diode?) goes across the power switch.

Given a 120v input voltage, and rated for 12A...?
I need to know:
i) how to engineer the size of diode for replacement?
ii) why is this unit a "type 1", versus a type 2, or 3, that I've seen on parts lists ( for parts that are not available!! )
