LSQ8520JQ0: Whirlpool LSQ8520JQ0 doesn't spin unless manually spun

Model: LSQ8520JQ0

Hi everyone, I've been having this issue on and off for a few months now where my clothes are completely soaked after their wash.

Today I put up a stick to hold the lid up to take a peek inside while it runs. The agitator works. It started to spin for a few seconds during the first spin cycle, but then it stopped. It didn't spin when the high spin cycle started unless I manually started to spin it with my hand. After it was done I decided to try manually putting it back to the high spin cycle and it spun on its own.

Then I ran my second load. It spun on its own during the first drain cycle and during the high spin cycle. Just like normal.

Anyone know why? Thanks!
