LG V40 ThinQ: Touch input rapid ghosting, but sometimes works.

So this phone has been fine and then very suddenly wasn't. I woke up this morning and unlocked with the back fingerprint sensor to turn off the alarm and the phone wasn't responding. I have the setting turned on to see touches I guess and I can see rapidly reporting touches all along the edges of the screen. It pulled up lots of apps, was hitting the home button back constantly, and nearly sent a text. All extremely quickly.
I held down the buttons to restart the phone and it does the same thing on the password input before it fully boots.
I wiped the phone very thoroughly and managed to get back into the phone once, but it messed up again.

misc info
No contact with moisture. the phone has had some flex for a while as if it gets stored in a back pocket, but that has never been the case. It is very minor and may have been present from a previous owner after refurbishment.
I need back into this phone at least once as I'd like some of the newer photos and recordings that haven't been backed up.
I've ordered a new phone, so time isn't a huge issue. I'm wondering if it's possible to disconnect the touch sensor and just use another input through USB C, but that will need to work before booting into the OS to be helpful.
Any ideas are appreciated.

LG V40 ThinQ: Does a replacement screen always include glass?

My LG V40 ThinQ has red burn in, and I was wondering if replacement screens always come with the Gorilla Glass, or is the OLED screen a separate item underneath? The outer glass is good so I'd rather avoid replacing that if possible. Thanks in advance.

LG V40 ThinQ: Display working but touchscreen isn't, any ideas how I can fix it?

Hey guys,

Need help on this one. So, I charged my LG V40, then suddenly, a notification popped up, when I opened my phone the display turned on but as I touch the screen, it doesn’t respond to my touch.

Tracking back on what I did, I submerged my phone underwater because I want to cool it off (I know, stupid idea), but I didn’t charge it right away. I went outside for an hour bringing it with me and when I got home I charged it (confident enough that it’s already dry).

I know what I did is stupid, but any answer from the thread will be a great help. I really want to fix it since I love using that phone and planning to buy a new one til next year.

Thanks!

LG V40 ThinQ: Phone will not charge via cord or wireless.

The usb port is borken on the Lg V40 ThinQ, I tried to charge it with a wireless charger, it stays at 0% and will not charge via wireless either. If I’m correct the wireless bypasses the wired part and should still charge. Is this true? Would this just need a battery replacement to charge wireless only or does the charger port also need changed? I just need to get some pictures off the phone then will not have a use for the phone anymore.
