LG Tribute HD: Why is the phone overheating while on the charger?

This has been happening for a while. I would plug it into the wall or my computer and the top of my phone and gradually flows throughout the phone. It does hold a charge a bit but the battery does die fast. I am thinking of buying a new battery but I'm trying to take the cheaper way out.

I accidentally let my phone fall down to the toilet I quickly dried or I thought I did but later while just leaving it be I saw water on it so I cleaned it again but I have four problems you can’t hear anything and when it’s off it makes buzzing sounds as if it was turned off then on and when you turn it on it will only last for a few minutes then it turns off saying over heating and it wont tell me how much actual battery it has it only stays in 100% all the time but clicking and WiFi, searching everything else is okay how can I fix the other problems though?"

LG Tribute HD: Issues with safe mode and power button

My phone completely froze. So I popped the back off, removed the battery, waited and then reassembled it. When it restarted, it was in safe mode (never had it happen before). I swiped the notification bar down and clicked the option to exit safe mode. My phone restarted and I then chose how I wanted to restart it. I chose home & app drawer (what I normally run). My phone loaded up fine and I have access to everything once again. However, now the power button doesn't respond. I mean, I can still turn the phone on and off by double-tapping the screen, but can't take screenshots or use the power button in any way. Please help.

I am very clumsy and I drop my phone in the toilet I quickly got it out and took the battery out and cleaned everything I could up leaving no water I successfully turned on but after a couple of 2-3 minutes though It simply just shut down saying something about over-heating ,you can take the battery out and put back in and it turns on for a couple of minutes or sometimes doesn’t even turn on how do I fix this?"

So first off….I'm not really sure if this is the correct phone. It might just be the LG Tribute Dynasty…when I remove the battery from the back it reads sp200…so I'm guessing tribute dynasty. Idk. Anyways

I ordered the part, replaced it. Put everything back in order…however, there's a black, sticky thing that's on the back of the LCD/digitizer that I moved from the old screen to the new screen…it's ripped and doesn't stick anymore. When I turned the phone on it turned on but all I see is black.

Before I fixed it there were dead pixels and could hardly see anything…now I can't see anything. It's frustrating.

While i was on my phone just browsing the internet, i started receiving these popups every few seconds over and over again that "unfortunately weather app is not responding(or working)". After about 20 seconds of that i received a different popup stating "unfortunately LG backup is not working(or responding)". Immediately after that my phone shut off... but the screen is still on. It has that little orange boost symbol on it, its stuck in this mode where it has the screen when you fully power on or off the phone. Its been like this for at least 12 hours while i kept it on charge. Yes i tried powering on and off the phone but there inst much i can do since it wont get out of this screen. if i did potentially get hacked i have no important information so i dismissed this idea.
