What i found after this is that if i unplug the 12V cable from the display card and try to start the TV i do get a steady 22V and the TV wont shut off at all but obviously no picture. And once more if i keep the 12V connector in place and remove the 22V i do get steady 22V on the PSU side. The question now is, do i have a faulty display driver motherboard or is the panel itself at fault here? i'm lost dont know how to progress further.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I have had my LG smart tv for about three years now. The sound for it recently stopped working yesterday feb 20th. I looked online for several solutions to solve the issue but nothing seems to work. Model number. 42LB5600-UZ.AUSDLJM.

Can anyone help me solve this issue if you had it at one point with the same brand?

I have tried all of the following without success:

• Replacing only the T-con board with a salvaged unit from eBay. No change.
• Replacing only the main board with a salvaged unit from eBay. No change.
• Replacing both boards at the same time. No change.
• Replacing the power supply–main board cable with the one included with the replacement mainboard. No change.
• Replacing the main board–T-con board cable with the one included with the replacement mainboard. No change.
• Disconnecting each of the T-con–display ribbon cables one at a time. Even worse image or none at all – I can't remember.
• Covering various ranges of pins on the T-con–display ribbon cables with Kapton tape, as shown in two YouTube videos: A, B. Even worse image or none at all. ~2.1 second cycle did not go away.
• Trying a different power cable (C7/C8 connector). No change.
• Applying pressure while the TV is switched on to the long thin PCB at the base of the display that the two ribbon cables from the T-con board connect to. No change.

Based on the fact that I observe no change at all when swapping the T-con board, main board, and two cables mentioned earlier, these components must all working as intended. As far as I can tell, this leaves only the power supply board, the long thin PCB at the base of the display (like in this image), and the panel itself. I haven't taken apart the TV enough to confirm, but I believe the long thin PCB is soldered or otherwise bonded to the panel and therefore cannot be easily replaced. (On a side note, is there a name for this PCB)?

Does my conclusion sound accurate? Do you think this TV can be salvaged without buying a replacement panel?

LG OLED65E9AUA — 3 flashes, shuts down, no picture/sound. Need advice please.

I have an LG OLED65E9AUA 65" OLED that suddenly stopped working with no power outage, surge, or other event.

What I've done so far:

Initially there was no standby light.

After leaving it unplugged, the red standby light returned.

The standby light is now solid red.

Pressing the physical power button causes exactly 3 red flashes, then the light goes completely out.

No picture, sound, or LG logo.

After sitting for a while, the standby light eventually comes back on.

I performed a full unplug/reset, but the exact 3-flashes-then-shuts-down behavior repeats.

I've been told the power supply board EAY65170411 / EAX68364701 is the most likely culprit, but I don't want to spend $100+ on a board based on a guess.

Unfortunately, there are no TV repair technicians in my area who can come to my home to diagnose it, and LG's own recommended third-party services were either no longer in business or didn't work on LG TVs. Geek Squad also does not provide TV repair in my area. So if this is repairable, I'm going to have to attempt the repair myself.

For anyone familiar with the E9: Does this sound like the power supply board, the main board, or something else? If the power board is the likely problem, is EAY65170411 definitely the correct replacement for the OLED65E9AUA, and is this something a reasonably careful person can replace themselves?

EDIT* I was able to remove the back panel and photograph the interior. Hopefully someone may spot something or point out the areas I should replace.

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who actually works on LG OLEDs before I order a part.

Tv plugged into wall and the power button on the remote pressed. It results in a blinking LG logo (Not on the screen, Basically the standby light).

Ive replaced the caps shown in the photo apart from one that I circuled in red (Didnt have the size to hand) and still no luck with it turning on (The old caps didnt look to bad).

You can hear a very slight whine each time the led flashes, But when the logo is blinking if you take out the power lead it continues to flash. You can even wait until it stops blinking and start it blinking again with the power removed, I think this would indicate that no real power is being drawn by the screen.

Where should I start next?

The TV still can be turned on by the remote or the power button. I can hear the click from the powerboard and the red LED on the mainboard will be on. But no picture no sound. My nintendo switch can turn on the TV via HDMI as it normal dose.

Tried disconnecting speaker, control button and remote receiver one by one noting worked.

Tried disconnected the T con board. The power can be turned on for 2 second and then it will restart it self. And the power stay on for another 2 second before turning off.

Bought a mainboard and put it in, but issues are same.

Tested the power suppy board. The power to the mainboard showed in the pictures. The power to the T con board are all 25.1V for the 24V pins and -1.2mV for the GRD pins.

Is there anything I can do? Many thanks.

I have an LG 46LD550. Whenever I power it on the display just shows the LG logo and says "No Signal". I have tried power cycling the TV - that didn't work. I reset the TV to factory settings - that didn't work.

I connected my laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable and it can see the TV no problem. I configured the Display settings so my laptop is the Primary and to Mirror the image to the TV. However, when I choose the HDMI port the cable's connected to it says "Connecting" for a few seconds and then returns to saying, "No Signal". I have tried all 4 HDMI ports on the TV and the result is the same with each.

I asked a friend about it and he said he's never had an issue getting any HDMI cable to send a video signal from a laptop to a TV. Still, I can't help but think there's some sort of incompatibility going on because I highly doubt all 4 of the HDMI ports on this TV are bad.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue?

Every time I turn on screen is blue kind of dark blue still watch the tv, its just hurt on the eyes. The sound of Tv is good, eveything is good just only dark blue on the screen. I hope someone can help me or direct me to fix it. I don't know if that can fix but hopefully still can for my memory.

I have an LG 70UN7070PUA, 4k television I'm having a problem with. It's hard to explain but I'm getting these red pixel smears on the screen. They movie around when something on the screen moves. I replaced the TCon board but it's still doing the same thing. It does this on all 3 hdmi ports and no matter what hdmi cables I use. Should I try replacing the main board next, or is something else the problem? Any help would be appreciated.
