LG Stylo 4 plus: I have a broken screen but I have a second stylo 4 on another carrier

Since I have the 2 phones can I just switch the motherboard and sim to the other stylo since it would be a lot easier than removing both screens to replace the broken one. The second phone is on another carrier and I cannot get that company to unlock to port over. Will this work or Will I have to change the screens

Hello!

I’ve had my LG Stylo 4 plus for about a year. I dont drop it and ive never had it in water. today out of nowhere, the screen kind of got this washed out color and there are three horizontal (not vertical) lines running down it. the icons have halos around them and my touch screen mostly works until I want to type something.

the keyboard then acts like i’m pressing too long, has phantom swypes, or just doesnt type anything at all. if i want to actually swype something myself, it doesnt work.

I started it in safety mode to see if it’s an app, but it has the same problem. I dont want to do a hard reset if i dont have to, so im wondering if its a hardware issue and if it is, what hardware? if its cheap to fix i’ll fix it myself.

UPDATE: the keyboard seems to work fine in the Keep Notes app and the Telegram X app, but not in browser, hangouts, or texting. i am fine with the screen being this way right now, but the keyboard working perfectly in some apps and not in others entails a software issue right?

my LG randomly has black, white and grey, lines. The screen also glitches and barley allows me to move. There's no cracks and I tried several restarts and videos

And after a while of me charging it my LG gets warm and then the screen is half black and half white. I never seen any phone do this before.

my phone will not fast charge nor will it recognize a flash drive it slowly started messing up and i had to buy new cables everyone 3 weeks to keep it fast charging but now it wont fast charge at all, any ideas?

I dropped my phone in water. Dried the surface. Shook it a lol to get any large amounts of water out of the bottom ports. Turned it off. Shoved it in rice. Left it for about 30 minuted. Took it out. Turned it on. Now this. It registers that I have headphones in so it won’t use the speaker to play audio. Audio still works if I plug in headphones though.

Hi, so recently I went to a waterpark and I was using my LG stylo 4 and I thought it had waterproofing so I took it with me when I went on a ride. After to two rides full of water, I noticed my phone screen had water damage so I stopped bringing the phone. Now like an idiot, when I went back to the hotel room I still used the phone for a couple days. When I finally went home (After 2 days) I placed my phone into rice and waited. Nothing really changed so I still used the phone. After 2 days of using the phone today, my phone would not turn on. I opened the phone and tried drying it off. What can I do? Please I can’t afford another phone.

I dropped my LG Stylo 5 on the concrete and lcd was in pieces. I ordered a replacement LCD/digitizer and am now testing it before I glue everything back together. The replacement screen indicates it is charging with the circle and 30% in the middle but won't turn on when I press power button. I’ve tried the power button and both volume keys (separately and together) for 10 seconds and still nothing. What does this mean and is the lcd/digitizer bad even if it lights up that it’s charging?

Trying to fix my gps problem. I’m wondering if I can fold up some aluminum foil to help with contacts. Or, could the ribbon cable been dislodged from dropping? Gps is very general, will not pin point and no map navigation is possible.
