LG Refrigerator: Water not entering water filter

Hi, I have an LG refrigerator, model LF29H8330S /00

The included LT1000P water filter is bone dry. This fridge automatically bypasses the filter if it doesn’t see one installed, so water and ice still dispense, but with unfiltered water. (Luckily not much of an issue, for we have good enough tap water, but I digress.)

Fridge is very new - installed ~1 year ago but didn’t have water hooked up until recently.

I’ve taken off the panel that covers the tank and plumbing, and I didn’t see anything obviously wrong, but I don’t know what I’m looking at, really.

I have tried:

Removing and replacing the filter with water off

Unplugging and plugging it back in

Removing and replacing the filter several times

I turn the filter until it stops.

Right now I’m thinking the included filter is faulty, incorrectly made, et cetera. Wondering if anyone else has this problem and how to fix it - I’ll try a new filter when possible.

LG Refrigerator: Ice maker not working

We have a French door refrigerator with a bottom freezer and an ice maker inside the freezer. It is less than 2 years old. The ice maker now makes a loud knocking sound and has stopped making ice. After searching online, I tried using a hair dryer on low which fixes it for about 2 days. Now LG wants to charge me a $349 fixed rate to fix it and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this flat rate program, especially with ice makers. Thanks!

LG Refrigerator: LG Ice Maker Not Filling With Water - Dispenser Works Fine However

My LG LMXC23746S/00 stopped making ice but still dispenses water. I tried replacing the water inlet valve (the old one tested just fine for continuity across the solenoids), I replaced the ice maker itself (even tried two new parts in case I got a bad one), and then replaced the control board/PCB. None of those things resolved the issue. When I press the test/reset button to initiate the ice maker harvest cycle, the ice maker initiates the harvest cycle but then stops after the tray rotates all the way up. It stays in that position for like 15-20 min before rotating back down and water never goes in. Pressing the button should force it to rotate the tray, return it back to normal position, and then dispense water but it hangs up after rotating. The water fill tube appears to be clear and is not frozen. I am at a loss for what to do next. Any advice?

LG Refrigerator: How to remove freezer door from fridge with freezer underneath

one of the metal slides has seized up so the freezer only partially opens, not enough to remove racks. If I could remove the freezer door, I could get to the seized slide.

LG Refrigerator LFX28978: LG in-door icemaker won't dump ice into the bin

The tray fills up with water and freezes but won’t dump ice into the bin. Model LFX28978ST/02. The unit adds more and more water to the tray that is already filled with ice, so water runs out the door, down the side, and puddles on the floor. When I push the reset button the tray does INDEED turn, so the motor works. If I melt the ice block with a hair dryer and remove it from the tray, the icemaker seems to work in that it fills the tray with the right amount of water, it freezes, and then I can dump the normal cubes into the bin manually, using the reset button. If I don’t dump the ice manually, though, it never gets dumped, more water keeps getting added to the tray, the tray fills up to overflowing with ice, and I get water on the floor again.
