LG Optimus L9 P769: Phone won't turn on..

I made sure that the battery was probably installed into the phone but the phone still won't turn on whenever I press the power button. Charging the phone doesn't seem to help either.

I have an LG L9. Until recently the phone worked fine. Connected to the wi fi in my house without issue. The other day I noticed that the wi fi was not on. When I try and turn it on it just keeps trying but never gets beyond the attempt to connect. I have had people tell me to try and reset my router. Problem is the phone never even gets to the point where it see any wi fi signal. Whatever it is its this particular phone. Anyone else have this issue

Hello! I have an issue with my home button on my phone. I've been having my phone for two years now. But about a year ago, I dropped my phone in a bowl of cereal and the milk got into the home button I guess. Perhaps that's the reason it won't work. I installed a home button app on my phone which I have been using since then. How can I fix it myself?Thank you for your time and help!
