LG G3: Screen randomly going to sleep Android

Hello, I have recently been experiencing my screen randomly turning off. It doesn't shut off, I just press the power button twice to wake it up, but this is extremely annoying. Especially when I'm watching Twitch or YouTube, it'll just randomly go to sleep. I have tried booting it in safe mode, and the issue isn't there. I. Also found out that the app Reddit was affecting it, so I deleted it. AND THE ISSUE STILL PERSISTS! This is extremely annoying and I would really like the assistance of a professional. Thank you very much. Please respond to this as soon as possible.

Solutions I tried:

-safe mode

-battery off for 10 seconds

-rice…?

-hard factory reset

I'd really like to be able to use this phone as it is my only way of communication at the moment and I cannot pay for a new battery, screen, etc. I hope this gets responded to soon.

LG G3: Why some diodes of LED are not turning on?

My phone has an LED screen.

It was having a “ghost touch” issue since a few weeks ago, searched online, read suggestions to open up the phone, disconnect and reconnect the screen to motherboard connectors, didn’t fix the issue, so I heated up the screeen, removed the actual touch screen from the front panel, wasn’t careful so my carboard went trhough the filters of the LED screen, put everything back together, the touch issue was not resolved, now I had freaking vertical lines appearing on my screen, about half of the screen, in different colors. Took the phone apart again, since some glue went between the filter layers of the LED screen, I cleaned them up with alcohol and WD40 and then put everything back together, now half the diodes on the bottom of the LED screen don’t turn on, my screen is mostly black, some vertical lines appear and after some time they brighten up.

Please help! I don’t have money to get a replacement screen, I’m such an idiot I think I might have damaged the phone in other parts so I really don’t want to wait to save up money for a new screen then replace it to find out I had had broken something else as well…

LG G3: Kernel Error & Subsystem Error -what do they mean? can they be fixed?

The phone history and what it will currently do is in the paragraph below. If you simply want to dissect the kernel data and subsystem error are in the attached images. The kernel was last evening when attempting to determine why the phone had turned off and wouldn't turn on. The subsystem crash was this evening when taking another shot at starting the phone. The Kernel error was a black screen and the subsystem crash was an orange one. I don’t know how exact some of the information has to be as I took photos from another phone and it was difficult to read some of the letters and numbers. If a clarification is required I may be able to review the data to see if there is a typo or it could possibly be a different letter or number. Thank you for identifying the problem or possible problems and what could be done to resolve the issue. At this point I’ll be happy simply to have time to backup my contacts and anything more than that is a welcome bonus.

The phone is about three years old and hasn’t had any major issues prior to this afternoon. Everything is stock, no ROMs or anything other than a handful of apps from the app store. It phone worked fine the couple times it was used today then when I tried to check it it was unresponsive. I have tried various charging methods and removing the battery. If the phone begins to load the LG screen will appear then it will go black. If I plug in a charger without a battery the screen displays the batter with the triangle question mark then once a battery is inserted the circle bars start to load as if it is checking the battery life however it only loads six of those bars (an incomplete circle) then freezes and eventually goes black. One attempt at using the power and volume down button caused the factory reset screen appear and another time it displayed the kernel below which will hopefully yield some insight into possibly solutions. I can’t recall the last app to be installed however it would have been more than a week ago. Given the battery information that briefly displays it appears to be more of a soft brick than a hard brick so fingers crossed there is a hero out there able to lead me down the right path.

I left the battery out overnight and tried turning on the phone this evening which caused the Subsystem Crash message to appear.

Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my problem. It is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

LG G3: LG G3 mini model D722

Hi iFixit team,

My LG G3 mini (D722) has a problem with the upper half of the screen. It has lost sensitivity completely. It could be from abuse or rough handling. Can you please let me know the materials I need to get to fix it. Do I need LCD screen, Digitizer etc separately or the assembly itself.

For example : On a page if I need to click on any link on the upper half it doesnt sense my touch. But anything on the bottom half is sensed. As a workaround I used to always tilt the phone 90 degrees right or left so that page itself would tilt and fall in the bottom half to be able access the link.

Kindly help.

Thanks,
