LG G2: Small row of screen unresponsive?

I have an LG G2. It works great.

Yesterday I noticed some weird behavior. The screen was finicky and hard to use. (I noticed it while playing Candy Crush—I couldn't switch certain candies in an area... LOL). The screen is not cracked or anything. The picture looks perfect...

I decided to open up an app where I could draw, and it turns out that I can't get any input on a perfect row about an inch or so from the top of the screen. The row is about half an inch thick and runs all the way from one side to another. I can color the whole screen, but it's perfectly blank on that one row.

I did some research and figured it might be some loose connector with the digitizer. Is this possibly an easy fix?

Thanks!!!

LG G2: Only speakerphone works during calls, can't use normal phone mic

When I make/take a call, I can only use speakerphone to communicate. If I use the normal mic (as in holding it like a normal phone) then nobody can hear me. I believe I damaged the noise-cancelling mic when I dropped it, the one at the bottom of the phone which is used for phone calls.

What piece would be needed to fix this issue?

LG G2: Best glue for attaching screen to phone?

My friend gave me his wife's old g2 that she dropped and shattered the digitizer. I bought a brand new pre assembled lcd/digitizer so all I'd have to do is use some 2mm tape and press it in to place. I'm now having an issue where from about the middle on the phone to the bottom is lifting around the edges. I thought I might have done a poor job with the tape so I went in and re did it 2 times now and still the same results. I'm wondering since the factory screen had this black glue like substance holding the screen in what can I use to mimic that and the results. I've read super glue was a bad idea because it gets between the LCD and digitizer. I also saw some one suggested gorilla glue epoxy (the 3300 psi stuff) I'm not worried with replacing the assembaly again in the event I drop my phone before I get a case. I'll just get the frame with the screen. Thanks in advance.

LG G2: Why does my screen go black during calls?

I own and operate my own cell phone repair biz and need to figure this issue out asap for my customer. I've now had this happen to a couple customers phones.

The screen (LCD/Dig/frame) was replaced due to a broken screen. Went great till you turn it on and make a call and the screen goes completely black and doesnt turn back on till the other person hangs up. Not even hitting the lockor power or volume will get it to come back up. I've swapped out the proximity sensor with 2 or 3 new ones with no luck but I dont really think its that. Cuz when I cover the top front of the screen with my hand/finger the screen does dim! So the sensor is working. Front facing camera was replaced as well.

The customer immediately stopped using it after the screen broke so I dont know if this is caused by drop damage or if its something else.

PLEASE...I really need (the correct) solution for this issue ASAP!!

I don't see any physical damage anywhere on any components or motherboard and I know there is no historyof water damage.

Please if you reply to this, first, I thank you, but secondly, can you please NOT leave comments like "take it to a Verizon Store" or "its junk" or bring it to a repair person"...... (well dont even comment then lol!)

I KNOW there is a FIX for this, even if ts something im just completely forgetting or overlooking, mention it, I'm human:-)

Thanks!!!

LG G2: LG G2 doesn't get past logo

Trying to repair an LG G2 for my friend.

Replaced it with refurbed LCD initially, and I got the charging at 0% icon. Pulled it out and went to sleep.

Next day when I tried to charge it, it boots up, shows the LG logo, then screen goes blank. LG logo appears again and repeat infinitely.

I've tried using a different battery, different bottom connector/usb, different LCD and it's still the same. The only thing left is the motherboard itself, but I don't have spares to test. I really doubt it could be the motherboard as it could show charging at 0% the day before.

It seems like either the motherboard won't let it charge properly, or it doesn't seem to be able to charge? Anyone has any experience with this? Would it require a forced charge or a jump start?

LG G2: White noise display, touch screen and phone working.

My LG G2 screen occasionally become like this. Touch screen still works. Probably something inside is loose due to drop while a few knocks on it can bring it back to normal.

However, yesterday dropped another time and knocking does not help this time.. for awhile screen was dark but after putting a tape under the white antenna cable the noisy screen is back.

Would like to know better what/which connector is affecting it. Can it be fixed without removing the screen?

Hi,

The digitizer on my LG has broken and so I am now on the look for a replacement digitizer/whole screen.

However, I have the VS980 model number. Do all the G2 models have interchangable screens, or must i get the screen that specifically states it is compatible with the VS980 model, as many sellers simply only state its compatibility with the D800

LG G2: WiFi and Bluetooth not turning on. What gives?

Well here is the gist, I haven't been able to turn on either the WiFi or the Bluetooth function on my G2. When I do try to turn them on, the icon shows its in the process of being turned on, but that's it. It returns to the off position in a minute.

This has been going on for about a week now, during which I've tried repeatedly to fix the problem (assuming it was a software issue) through LG PC Suite (by using the restore upgrade error option) and recently just doing a factory reset, but neither of the two worked.

My last option would be to send it to the repair shop (still under warranty, but it'll be time consuming, up to a month)

So I really hope someone can help me out here on a possible fix.

FYI: I've dropped the phone numerous times, no scratches whatsoever, and the screen is perfect. But could the drops have damaged just the WiFi and Bluetooth function?

Thanks a bunch

Update: I've just received my phone back from the shop (after a grueling 7 week wait...sigh) anyhow according to the guys at the store the problem is apparently due to a hardware issue instead of a software error after upgrading to kit kat (4.22).

Though he didn't actually specify what exactly was wrong, so not much of a help, sorry.
