I already changed the batteries twice and no sound.

I already opened the train to check the contacts and it all looks brand new.

LEGO: How to open a Lego Duplo train?

Hi, I'm trying to fix a Lego Duplo train which works on batteries. The train doesn't ride as smooth and powerful as when we just got it so I thought having a look inside to see if there's some dirt or whatsoever. To open it it has 3 screws underneath the cap for the batteries. Once I removed the screws there is still no way to get the top part from the bottom. It is clicked on it somehow but no way to get it moving (which makes me wonder why they put screws there in the first place, if they have been left out they could save some money on the screws and still no one would be able to open the thing). Please help because I'm about to break something......!!!

RCX 1.0: Cannot get the RCX 1.0 to respond to IR remote control

Hi,

I have just got my son’s old RCX 1.0 out for my grandson and purchased a Lego (9738) IR remote control so he can control the RCX unit.

The RCX unit works OK and all the built in programs work OK but it does not respond to the remote control commands at all.

Firstly can somebody confirm wether the RCX 1.0 does work with the IR remote control and if so any idea how to get it working again?
