Kyocera Oystr: Where is info about the quality of cell phone replacement batteries

I want to buy a replacement battery for a Kyocera Cadence flip phone. Ifixit doesn't sell them. On Newegg I see the following brand names: Hantolk, BOANV, Beltron, as well as unbranded batteries. Is there any way to research the quality of these different batteries? Battery model # SCP-70LBPS. The phone shown above is not my phone, I had to choose something to get through this algorithm

Kyocera Phone: SIM Card Not Reading

I have a Kyrocera Brigadier, and it needed a nano sim, well I cut down a regular sim to nano size(It worked with the iphone 5s) and put it in, however, I had to shove it in. Then I could not get it out. Finally, very carefully I pulled it out with a pocket knife. The sim reader does seem to have some damage on the housing, perhaps stretching, anyways I put in a nano sim inside the phone, and it wont read it, I tried the paper trick and it still didn't read. I read somewhere that on this specific phone, if the sim card reader is screwed, then the phone will brick, however the phone works just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Kyocera Phone: Kyocera DuraXV E4610 – Main LCD Not Working After Possible Short

I have a Kyocera DuraXV (model E4610) and while trying to repair the outer LCD, I accidentally pulled off the flex cable from the front LCD. It seems that in the process, I may have shorted something on the main board.

Now, the inner LCD no longer displays anything—no backlight, no image, completely black. To rule out other issues (like the flex cable or screen), I tested the same screen and cable setup with a different motherboard, and everything worked perfectly.

So it seems the issue is definitely with the original motherboard. Does anyone know which chip or component might have been damaged or shorted that would cause the inner LCD to stop functioning completely? Any guidance on what I should be looking to replace would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Kyocera Phone: How to replace the battery of the Kyocera Hydro Shore model C6742A?

I cannot find a guide or tutorial on how to take apart the Kyocera Hydro Shore model C6742A. The back place looks like a solid piece with the glass possibly glued in, there are some screws but not the typical ones. Those holes from previous models are filled in plastic, and the 3.5mm jack has 3 screws, and there’s a screw over the power button once the back cover plate is off, but the space where the battery would be is solid plastic with the back plastic part of the phone itself. Do we have to heat this screen up to remove it from the plastic? are there any ribbon cables to be aware of? Can anyone please post a guide or knowledge of how to take apart this phone?

Kyocera Marbl K127: Phone broke in half/ need addys!

I was charging the phone, and my foot got caught in the charger cord, and the phone was sent flying to the floor. Done it before, no problem. This time, the top and bottom halves of the phone separated. I can see a thin copper wire hanging out of the top half.

I do not need a new phone, I have a spare, identical model of this phone in my hand. But I need to retrieve my directory of names and numbers. This phone is old enough that I do not believe there is a card inside with them on it. Bummer. I just need to write them down, and then transfer to the new phone, as soon as I switch the phone number to the new phone.

Is this possible? Is this something you can do? And reasonably? I'm a senior on nonexistent Social Security funds, so at this point in the "month", I'm already pretty much broke. So any help or advice where I might go (no, not there, lol!) would be greatly appreciated!

Rita Ractliffe

my email is lovpeppard@yahoo.com ... my phone # is dead in the water at the moment or I'd give you that. If we can get the phone screen and directory list activated, then I can transfer the number to the new phone, and copy off info.

Thanks.
