Krups Coffee Maker: Power plug error icon on my Krups EA826E10!

Hello everyone,

I have a strange issue with my Krups coffee machine. It shows the power plug error icon every time I turn it on.

After checking online, I found that this problem is often caused by the NTC sensor. When I inspected mine, I saw that it had completely come loose from the solder, so I resoldered it, reassembled everything, and reset the device.

Now, when I turn it on, it starts for a couple of seconds, tries to run the self-cleaning and heating cycle, and I can hear a high-pitched motor sound — but not the usual lower one. Then it goes back to showing the plug icon again.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it? Any help would be appreciated!

The on/off switch is recessed inside the coffee maker. I disassembled the bottom to access the switch and cannot get the RED part of the switch to go through the opening because there are two small flat piece on the top and bottom of the opening preventing the switch from going through the opening.
Krups 963: Leaking from either the cap or gasket under cover

I have removed the cover and checked the gasket/head seal - it's not cracked.

However, it recently started spewing out steam to the point where the black cover appears to have almost melted. After reading some of the answers here, I'm wondering if there's plenty of calcification within the boiler. Would you know where I could buy the head seal - I haven't been able to source it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
