Kodak ESP 3 All-in-one Printer: Printer won't print in black. What's wrong?

Printer won't print in black. Colour works. I have replaced black cartridge with no results. Have used mostly black before, so it's strange that black won't work while colour does. Is it a built-in fault? At my wits end.

I got this Kodak printer second-hand(and thus don't want to call kodak up about this), for some reason it wont power on anymore(it did when i first got it).

Whenever i plug the AC adapter into the mains it lights up green and when it is plugged into the printer the light goes off.

I have installed new ink cartridges in my Kodak esp 3.2 printer. When running a test print, the first time only green showed up on the printed paper. I ran a calibration test and ran the cleaning of the print head then did a print test again and the paper came out blank. I repeated the process multiple times and got blank pieces of paper every time. Now it says my ink levels are at 75% but nothing has even been printed to use that much ink. I even manually cleaned the print head and it still didn’t work. Any ideas?

When I press the On button my printer begins to start but then stays in "Startup" mode and won't continue to boot up. To turn it off I have to unplug the power cord because none of the buttons on the control panel will work.
