The camera will not turn on no matter what I do.

I press the power button and the start up noise and start up display screen do not appear.

What can I do to make it turn on?

Kodak EasyShare M530: Why is the lens extended and camera will not shut off

I think the camera is a Kodak Easyshare M532 14mp 4X zoom lens. The camera will not shut off or respond to any controls. The lens is extended and the indicator light is steady on. I have removed the battery and reinstalled it. I had just taken pics and downloaded to my computer. I disconnected it and a message came up that lens was obstructed. Camera would not respond to any control. I cleaned lens and removed battery. Installed battery and message was gone but lens is still extended and it will not respond to any control. Light is steady on.
