Hi, I recently got a Kodak Easyshare CD82 from the thrift store. When I got home and put in some batteries and tried to take pictures, it kept making this shuttering/buzzing sound. So I opened it up to see if anything was broken, but then I realized I have no idea what I'm doing. When trying to close it back, I was having issues with putting back the plastic piece that covers the flash. I got electrocuted like two times attempting to place it back in. I can't really close the camera back or use it if the piece isn't in. I'm low-key scared to get shocked again and have no idea what to do 😅.

Kodak EasyShare CD82: Kodak EasyShare C182 "Lens Error 112"

I recently found our old family camera and decided to try it out. It worked perfectly at first, but now it has stopped working altogether and is showing Lens Error when I turn it on. Aside from the many other issues this camera has—such as the flash not working, a lens error, and the LCD screen displaying erratic lines—what could be the cause of these problems ? Is it possible to fix the lens error myself by opening the camera up and cleaning the internal components? I would like to know if this is a realistic DIY fix, or if I should just leave it to the professionals.

Kodak EasyShare CD82: Kodak EasyShare CD82 - Seized screw on LCD screen holder won't budge

I am currently following the iFixit guide for the Kodak EasyShare CD82 LCD Display Screen Replacement. I am stuck on Step 4: removing the three screws from the LCD screen holder.

One of the screws is completely seized and will not budge in either direction.

- The screw head is NOT stripped (yet).

- I have tried the rubber band method for extra grip.

- I have tried tapping the screwdriver to break the tension.

- I do not have a soldering iron to apply heat.

- My needle-nose pliers are too large to grip the small screw head in this tight space.

Are there any specific tricks for this camera model or other DIY ways to loosen a tiny, non-stripped but seized screw without specialized tools like a soldering iron? Is it possible there is adhesive or a specific orientation causing it to bind?
