Kobo Mini: Why won’t my kobo login

I have reset it and can get it to switch on and setup but won’t go past the WiFi login screen

Kobo Mini: Doesn't work unless plugged in.

My Kobo Mini works very well except for the power switch. The only way I get to turn it on is by plugging into the USB port and than I can’t turn it off. I do think that I need a new sliding on/off switch.
