Kobo Clara BW N365: Vertical scratch on the screen: is front cover sufficient?

Hi, I have a vertical scratch on my kobo clara bw, as seen in picture. Screen is fully functioning, but I am considering fixing.

To repair, do I need to purchase an entire screen, or would replacing the front cover sufficient?

Thanks

Kobo Clara BW: Can this PCB still be repaired?

Hello, thank you in advance for reading.

I have a Kobo Clara 2E which, right after being unplugged from a computer, stopped working. After reading online this device uses an SD card for internal memory, I suspected the filesystem was corrupted.

I opened the device and tried to remove the SD card, which was glued in place. While trying to wiggle it out with tweezers, I accidentally scratched the PCB, as shown in the attached pictures.

The SD card did eventually come off, but even after writing a working image to it, the Kobo still isn't turning on. This is, I imagine, caused by the scratched tracks. Based on the pictures, would you agree? Is there a way I could fix the two tracks?

Thank you for reading, I greatly appreciate any help!

[Edit] Posting extra pictures and adding some context.

After the Kobo was unplugged from the computer, it stopped working correctly, despite having been ejected before unplugging. Initially, the screen was stuck showing the eject screen as if still plugged in, but after attempting to reset it, the screen turned blank. Each time it was turned on, the LED blinked a few times, the screen swapped between black and white a few times too, and nothing else happened.

It was at this point that I opened the device and accidentally scratched the PCB attempting to remove the SD card. After writing a working image to the SD card and putting it back together, it stopped turning on. I then tried rewriting the SD card with the original data, which I had previously backed up, but it still does not turn on.

Here's some more pictures of the PCB:

Kobo Clara BW: Screen Replacement for Clara BW N365B

My Kobo Clara BW N365B was recently damaged by being carried in my back with a few other books, and it must have gotten squished between them, and now the screen is totally shot so I'd like to replace it. It appears as though the screen being sold through iFixIt is for the N365 model specifically.

I'm attempting to determine if the screen is in any way compatible with the N365B model. It seems as though it's not, but I was hoping for a definitive answer. If not, any guidance on where I may be able to source one would be greatly appreciated, as Kobo Support was not of any assistance.

Kobo Clara BW: Backlight not always working

My Kobo is a Clara HD, and for several months now I'm experiencing some issues with the backlight. I'm not sure if it's something hardware that can be fixed or if it's software.

Whenever I recharge my kobo, the backlight will stop working for a period of time that can range from a few hours to several days.

I've done quite a few tests to try to troubleshoot the problem with no success.

The level of battery does not seem to be directly connected as I encounter the problem no matter if I recharge when the battery is low or high and how long I recharge for.

Factory reset will always instantly fix the problem.

I would really appreciate any insight.

Kobo Clara BW: Yellow Tinge on New Kobo Clara BW Screen

I have two Kobo Clara e-readers - a new Clara BW and my old faithful Clara HD. Both e-readers are supposed to have the same E-ink Carta screen, however, after unboxing my new Kobo Clara BW, I was disappointed that the screen had a noticeable yellow tinge, making the 'page' darker and harder to read. I’ve tried changing the settings and performing a factory reset, but the issue persists.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison with my old Clara HD, both using the same settings. Is there any way that the new BW can be made brighter (other than 100% brightness)?
