I have put a new battery in (CR2032), + side up, but the scales won't turn on again when I press the On button

EK3211 Kitchen Scale: When I turn on scale, it automatically says 8

When I turn on my scale it registers 8, if I hit tare it says 8. Also on left side of screen it has a kind of downward arrow and below a M.

I've changed the batteries, no help.

My scale tries to calibrate when turned on but immediately sets at 2.21 lbs and doesn't clear. I have changed the batteries with no result. How can I fix this problem?

I have an OXO 5lb digital kitchen scale that zeros out to between 1/4 and 3/8 of an ounce. Worse, I suspect the error is progressive rather than linear. Can this scale be calibrated/adjusted at home by me?
