KitchenAid Refrigerator: Not cooling... AND ITS BACK!

I have Kitchenaid refrigerator KBRA22ERSS01.

The other night it started making a consistent running noise and in the morning was warm and the temp was increasing quickly.

I used a long brush to clean underneath which was a MESS. A repairperson came to check it and said it was dead and recommended a new one. Its only 10 years old.

We plugged it back in, moved the freezer contents to our chest freezer, and put some ice in there to keep the fridge cool (circulating).

Here's where the story gets odd: 24 hours later the temp dropped again! And is now back to normal 48 hours later.

Will this last (the repair place I called in confusion says no)?

We have ordered a new one but if this one is BACK TO LIFE that would be great!

KitchenAid Refrigerator: Kitchenaid ice maker does not work

Hello, I have a 2015 Kitchenaid french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Water inside the door, ice maker in the freezer. Model KRFF202ESS00 S/N K51819876. The ice maker stopped making ice. I noticed the door water (we don’t use this feature) volume was low so replaced the filter and corrected that problem, but still no ice. The ice maker appears to be going through the motions, but no water is getting into the ice maker. Checked the turn on valve - no leaks, water is on. There is no water in the tube in the back of fridge. Looking for ideas to avoid the repair cost. Thanks

KitchenAid Refrigerator: Kitchenaid fridge Not cooling in top part

model Krfc704fps03

This was new at a store in July 2019, apparently kitchenaid scrapped it, and we got sold a problem child. What I got with my guages is 11 degrees freezer department, then the lower fridge lowest drawer is around 24 degrees, then 2nd drawer up is 35 degrees, then it jumps to 50 degrees up a drawer, then up to 60 degrees at the very top shelf. THe fresh center thing that goes up the back has no air running though it, even though it has a filter, but when I took that off, I just have foam, no fans etc. I have already checked coils under fridge and fan to them, they are very clean, and fan spins. The inside its like the air isnt moving right. Now with that said, when you open the left door, there is 2 vents, one is blowing, and one is sucking, this goes to the ice ben. I do get very cold air there and with a papertowel can see its sucking air back. Thing is this allows air from bottom I assume to ice part only, no open ports to go back to up fridge itself. What is interesting is the bottom of the fridge is ice cold, while the top is about as warm as the house. The doors are closed, no torn seals. I can not find anything on you tube about how or if there is another fan Im missing or what is going on. Ive already broke a piece on the water filter, trying to get that massive bottom out as I can not find anything anywhere public about how to disaemmble this thing or what is where. I go diagrams under fridge for circuit board that is it. I have downloaded the owners manual, but again, nothing in there for repairs or how to take shelves out etc, or what fan if one is in the back. Advise please.

Update (02/18/2021)

I have found some diagrams on sears and another site, but I cant make heads or tails of what is going where. Nothing here is just outright showing a motor to circulate air inside the top part. I see the condensor and fan for bottom, nothing for top, or the inside fan motor. Nothing to help explain why that bottom piece wont just come out without breaking it either.

KitchenAid Refrigerator: KitchenAid Fridge and Freezer Running Warm

My fridge is a KitchenAid 5 Door KRMF706ESS. Basically both the fridge section and the freezer section are running a bit warm. I have the fridge set to 37F and the freezer to 0F and it is in a ~77F environment. The ice maker in the fridge section is cold enough to freeze ice, but not cold enough to harvest it. (I read that it has to reach 16F to dispense the ice into the bin.) I ran a manual ice harvest using the Technician’s codes and all the components seem to be working properly. The freezer is also cold enough to keep things frozen, but ice cream is soft. I made sure the condenser coils were clear of debris, and both evaporator fans are running. The evaporator coils are not iced over. I initially repaired a faulty seal on the fridge door, but that has not solved my issue. My only other thought is possibly a low refrigerant level, but the compressor sounds normal (although it is hot to the touch) and the condenser coils are warm indicating what I assume to be proper refrigerant flow. Condenser fan is also working properly.

Any help would be so appreciated! This issue is driving me insane. Thank you!

KitchenAid Refrigerator KRFC604F: Kitchenaid Refrigerator Ice Maker: Water Outside / Above Ice Tray

I have a Kitchenaid model krfc604fss01 with an in-door ice maker. The ice maker makes ice, however recently the ice storage bin has been freezing solid in one area. I’ve taken apart the ice maker, and I can see water is getting on the plastic area above the actual ice tray - which leads me to believe the water is not coming as it should. However, it doesn’t appear as if the ice tray is being overfilled as there is still room at the top.

I was about to replace the ice maker unit, but I’m now thinking that this might have something to do with the water input valve assembly in the top (ceiling) of the ice maker compartment.

I haven’t yet figured out how to remove this valve and even if I did, I’m not sure how to test it.

I have tried reducing the water pressure into the refrigerator by partially restricting the input line, but that didn’t seem to have any impact. I can also confirm that the ice tray isn’t leaking as I have left it on my kitchen counter full of water and none is coming out. So, that leads me to believe that something is happening when the water is actually filling the tray that is causing it to splash or otherwise be directed outside of the tray where it drips down into the bin and freezes.

Is it possible that the input assembly would freeze up or perhaps slow drip enough to have the water land outside of the tray? Or, is there some type of pressure regulation on the input valve that would keep the stream to a low pressure so it doesn’t splash, and perhaps that has failed causing water to fill at too high of a rate?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Also, any thought on how this valve unclips from the ceiling of the ice maker compartment?

The Service Sheet states to press the C or Temp Mode with the On/Off power button. I’m not sure which of those buttons corresponds with the buttons available on my refrigerator. I have attached two pictures.

Water is leaking in my refrigerator when I use the water dispenser. I have the correct filters, the leak is coming from a hole just to the right of the filter. I am using a container to keep it from going all over my frig.

KitchenAid Refrigerator: LED lights flicker and sometimes all power momentarily drop

Fridge is a KitchenAid KRBR109ESS00 (whirlpool). The LED light are screw-in so there’s no separate driver board. Instead, the door switch applies 120 Vac. sometimes the lights (there are 2 bulbs) flicker, but occasionally they go out completely and in concert with this the 7 segment displays showing temp settings also blank out and other fridge items (like the fan) stop as well if they’re running. This only lasts for a couple of seconds and then power returns. I’ve replaced the Jazz control board as well as the wiring harness running to the board, LED light and door switch (one assembly). But the problem persists. Any ideas as what could be causing this?

KitchenAid Refrigerator KRFF507H 0: Why is the starting relay on main control board clicking on and off?

I thought maybe the main control board had failed, so I replaced it to no avail. I can't even get into diagnostic mode because the main control board just keep 'clicking,' dropping power out to the entire fridge, despite constant 120v @ inlet of main control board. So when I plug it in and open the doors, the lights flash on, then off, at about 1 second intervals. What is dropping main power to main control board???
