KitchenAid Professional 600: Accessory drive won't turn unless pushed in.

My Kitchen Aid Pro 600 recently stopped turning the planetary shaft. I disassembled it and found that the play in the shaft was allowing the bevel gear to slide above the pin that engages the shaft. I replaced the composite washer at the bottom of the planetary shaft with at thicker one, and that eliminated the vertical play in the shaft so the bevel gear again engages the pin; however, now the accessory drive shaft will only turn if held in from the outside, as though it were missing a thrust washer, but there was no washer when I first disassembled it months ago for a different repair, and none of the videos I've watched show one, either. Seem unlikely that the gears would be that worn, but I'm no expert. Any ideas?

KitchenAid Professional 600: Planetary assembly doesn’t fall out, but drops creating a gap

I bought a used kitchen aid pro 600 6qt. It made jerky movements when mixing. So, I took it all apart. The gears are all fine. But the planetary assemble drops down about a quarter inch and the stationary gear in the main housing slides down with it and creates a gap and jerky movement. Help!

KitchenAid Professional 600: Bowl Lift not locking

I am not sure if anyone has encountered this issue. I lift the bowl with nothing in it and it works fine. When ever I want to use the mixer and the bowl has anything in it it will not lift when I turn the lifting arm. I am not able to find if there are replacement parts for this at all. Any help will be appreciated.

KitchenAid Professional 600: Lower guide for planetary gear shaft has come lose

I'm not sure if I am correctly referring to part in question, but this piece (see pictures) appears to have been originally press fit in (or maybe welded/attached?) but it has come lose and now I can't get it to stay in place. As a result, there is a lot of play in the shaft... It would help if I knew how it was originally attached. Most exploded views seem to indicate that this is not a part meant to be replaced...

Any suggestions?

I just got a refurbished 600 Pro mixer, but when I turn it on it makes a loud grinding noise. It sounds like it's coming from the motor, and when I go up in speed it goes away until I turn it back down.

KitchenAid Professional 600: Why is my recently refurbed Kitchenaid Professional 6 mixer so loud?

I recently refurbished my Kitchenaid Professional 6 mixer by replacing the plastic gear box with a metal one, as well as replacing the motor and worm gear. Now it’s loud. Real loud. There’s no screeching or grinding, just an uncomfortable loudness. I’m positive it’s the interaction of the worm gear with the motor, as I removed the other gears from the gearbox and it’s just as loud as when it’s fully geared.

I also tested the gears without the gearbox on (had someone hold down the worm gear as I turned it on) and discovered the sound is much quiter when the worm gear and motor gear aren’t as closely snug as they can be. But when I put the gear case on, there’s absolutely no play, as it should probably be. I discovered as well that if the top right screw on the gearbox ( if looking from the front) is slightly loosened, the sound diminishes, though not as much as I’d like.

What can I do to make the mixer more quiet, as it doesn’t seem like it should be as loud as it is. Could the gearcase be faulty and pressing down on the gears too much?
