I have an older Kitchenaid Artisan tilt head mixer and even after speed adjustment and replacement of top plastic gear assembly, food grade grease and phase control board (original spare part) the speed won’t go up after position 8. Even when properly adjusted (60 rpm at 1, 180 rpm at 6), the speed difference between position 6 and 8 is minimal and between 8 and 10 is absent.

This speed problem was already there when I was given the mixer, but I was hoping the replacements and adjustments would fix the speed problem. Please advise.

I bought a used kitchen aid pro 600 6qt. It made jerky movements when mixing. So, I took it all apart. The gears are all fine. But the planetary assemble drops down about a quarter inch and the stationary gear in the main housing slides down with it and creates a gap and jerky movement. Help!

i just bought a super old KitchenAid model 3-C. I did a deep clean on it, taking most of the motor apart and cleaning out the gearbox. I've put it back together and it seems to work fine, but I've got an extra washer (as seen in photo) Usually I would pretend I didn't see the it but I'm trying to better myself lol. Does anyone know recognise it, or know where in might go?

I stupidly tried to break apart some old brown sugar and pushed my machine to far. This pin came out and now machine makes a strange noise and the head(no idea of the actual name) is loose for want of a better word.

Before I start trying to pry of the aluminum ring like I saw in another guide I would just like to check if anyone knows this model well enough to provide advice on the correct procedure

I am not sure if anyone has encountered this issue. I lift the bowl with nothing in it and it works fine. When ever I want to use the mixer and the bowl has anything in it it will not lift when I turn the lifting arm. I am not able to find if there are replacement parts for this at all. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not sure if I am correctly referring to part in question, but this piece (see pictures) appears to have been originally press fit in (or maybe welded/attached?) but it has come lose and now I can't get it to stay in place. As a result, there is a lot of play in the shaft... It would help if I knew how it was originally attached. Most exploded views seem to indicate that this is not a part meant to be replaced...

Any suggestions?

hi all,

I have a kitchenAid that after repair return seems to work fine when the bowl is empty, however as soon as I put something inside it even the smallest amount it will stop spinning while the motor keeps going. It sound like some gear tear or slack somewhere but opening it up all seems to be good and fine (can't check the slack the motor gear and the nylon gear). Of course I tried to go back to the guy to fix it and every time he fix it it hold for one use!

Any ideas? let me know if you want me to provide some pictures

I recently was cleaning my kitchen counter and lifted my Kitchenaid mixer to clean underneath and it accidentally slipped out of m hands and on the counter. What didn't seem like a big deal has now become one. The speed gear of my mixer is stuck and I cannot turn/use my mixer. I am also having a super hard time finding someone who repairs small appliances. Everywhere I called, they are only working/repairing the bigger appliances. Please help I love my mixer and I got it as a present only 3 years ago.

Hey! About 2 months ago i took the challenge to repair my kitchen aid, took my time and watched some videos on what could be the problem.

The mixer wouldnt turn on so i figured it would be a dead motor. so i measured it and it was fine so i purchased a new controlling board and swapped it. And the thing turned on. The problem now is that it shuts off and on at the lowest speed setting and im figuring if its the "speed regulator" the little brass spring that sits on the motor shaft but it seems fine.

So now im turning this question to you pros what could be the problem? The best would be if i could submit some sort of video of it running so i could explain it better
