<title><![CDATA[KitchenAid KSB5CR: Should the motor produce light?!?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Great guide!</p>

<p>Because the blender makes a &quot;burnt rubber&quot; whenever its run regardless of load, I removed the cover from the base to inspect the fan, motor, and assembly.</p>

<p>Seeing nothing amiss, I cradled the base (inverted) and &quot;pulsed&quot; the blender. For every pulse, there was a flash of bright light. It was white, not orange.</p>

<p>Is this normal? Could this be arcing? That might explain the &quot;burning&quot; smell.</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>If I change the motor, i.e. buy a replacement motor from a Canadian supplier and change the power cord, will it work in Canada?<br />I have sourced a motor, but not the power cord yet.  Any ideas where I could look?</p>
