I have my KitchenAid Classic Mixer plugged into the wall and when I turn it on to any of the speeds nothing happens. I've tried to unplug it and plug it back in but I cannot get it to turn on!

Our K45SS still turns on but doesn't have the power for anything thick. Still whips liquids just fine. Do I need a new motor or just a part? Can I do it myself?

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Spark while replacing brush and now the mixer won't turn on

Messed up while putting the brush spring back into the side of the mixer and left the power on. While inserting the brush head there was a pop and spark. Now when I insert the brush head (double checked the orientation) the motor still won’t turn on. Guess that means I shorted something, but is there anything I can do to fix it from here?

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Oil or grease leaking into mixing bowl?

My KitchenAid mixer has recently been leaking some type of oil or grease out of beater shaft. It sometimes drips into the mixing bowl! Do I need to replace the grease in my mixer or is it one of the seals? Thank you!!

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Will not start on low speeds

My 32 year old KitchenAid Mixer Model K45SS (no WH at the end) will not start until I move the speed lever to at least 5 (that gets messy!). I can then move the lever back to the lower speeds and it will work fine.

Kitchen aid mixer K45SS, bought in 70s, won't come on. I cleaned it by removing screws and cleaned screws and replaced. Oiled moving parts. Put everything back like it was. Now, won't turn on at all. Is there something not adjusted right for it to refuse to work. No motor sound, no nothing. Thanks, Debra Huffman

I live in Costa Rica....so bringing it in for repair won't work.

My mixer is only a couple of years old, and I haven't used it in awhile. The last time was to put a pasta attachment on it and it worked great.

The problem: It works great up to speed 3, then it won't ramp up past that speed.

my kitchen aid mixer s45ss won't turn on .What happened was when I replaced the worm gear I put it back together and didn't noticed that a wire was pinched and it shorted out so I went on google and they said that I might need to replace different parts so i now replaced the armature ,motor brushes,control plate and speed sensor and it still won't turn on what could be next?

When I try and turn my mixer off it keeps going back to the low speed. The lever (switch) keep popping back to on and will not stay in the off position.

Hi,

I replaced the grease in my old KitchenAid K45SS two weeks ago. The machine works and I thought everything is right.

But yesterday, during cleaning the room, I found a small screw on the floor and I don´t know where it came from.

I thought about my KitchenAid repair and now I´m scared if I forgot one screw.

Can someone tell me if the KitchenAid K45SS Classic has such a screw, and if where did i forgot mine? (It is regular check paper so each square is 5mm. the screw has a length of ca. 1cm and the hea is about 6mm)

I had plugged my kitchen aid classic mixer into 220v instead of 110v. It started running of full speed from the second use. Now even after plugging into 110v it runs in full speed.

The metal round rod came out of the stand. Can it be put back in? I have moved the head up and down trying to get it back in… to no avail.

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Motor shuts off at high speed

When i move the lever to #8 and #10 the motor shuts off. I normally don’t mix at high speed but it was by chance i moved the lever to those positions and discovered the problem. Any assistance would be great. Thank you.

I just took my mixer, out of the box, for the first time.

Ready to use it will not turn on.All you hear is the motor

running, humming nose.Checked everything, to make sure

it was ok.Even unplugged it, still the same

Is there something that i'm missing ?

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Brand new machine pulses very fast on the slowest mode

I bought a brand new K45SSWH and just plugged it in to test it. When I turn it onto "stir" it pulses very fast. It also seems to be sparking inside when looking in the gap of the speed controller. I checked youtube videos and all the others spin slowly. Any idea whats wrong?
