KitchenAid KHB100OB: How to replace the motor (or perhaps just the fuse)?

My immersion blender shorted out. There was a flash of light inside the housing and now it will not work. Any ideas for how to replace the fuse, or perhaps the whole motor?

my blended has stsrted making noises . By trying the the jar with another blender I found out that the noises dont come from the motor unit but from the blades unit . The blades are well tightened and aren't deformed . There is a drop or two leak during every time I use it.

my kitchen aid handheld blender stopped working when a friend of mine was making mash potatoes. (serial: WHP331O317; model: KHB100OBO) it's not obvious to me how to open it up. it has a variable speed dial on the top, and the blade mechanism can detach. i'd love to fix it rather than throw away.

I'm sure I screwed the bottom part on tight and the gasket appears to be ok, but the blender leaks uncontrollably when I pour liquids into it.

(They didn’t have my blender in the list so I just picked this one but the model number of mine is 4KSB8270NP)

I need new motor brushes for my KitchenAid Professional Blender but I haven’t been able to find a replacement part anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas were I could buy them?

They are like this on both sides.

Great guide!

Because the blender makes a "burnt rubber" whenever its run regardless of load, I removed the cover from the base to inspect the fan, motor, and assembly.

Seeing nothing amiss, I cradled the base (inverted) and "pulsed" the blender. For every pulse, there was a flash of bright light. It was white, not orange.

Is this normal? Could this be arcing? That might explain the "burning" smell.

If I change the motor, i.e. buy a replacement motor from a Canadian supplier and change the power cord, will it work in Canada?
I have sourced a motor, but not the power cord yet. Any ideas where I could look?

Rarely used KitchenAid blender - one day just wouldn’t run but options panel lights blink alternately. No sound. No smoke, etc. Worked one day. Didn’t work the next. Tried KA website troubleshooting to “restart” and nothing worked. There is no sign of burns, leaks, breaks, etc. Where to start troubleshooting?
