Kirby G5: How do you put together the automatic drive the yes and no pedal

Something came loose on the SNL pedal on the drive on the auto drive. I think a bolt or something came loose and you can no longer put it in yes or no so I fiddle with it a little too much maybe and I can’t get it back together.

Kirby G4: Direction to turn spindle for fan replacement

I can't turn the spindle/shaft of the fan to remove so I can replace the new fan shaft. I can't remove the handle screws even to place a screwdriver into motor to stop the shaft from turning to remove it. But most of all I am not sure I am trying to turn the shaft in the right direction. Which direction does it turn? To the right or to the left?

Please help.
