Hi, my Kindle Paperwhite suddenly stopped turning on after a full charge.

I tried resetting it (long-press power for 10, 20, 40, even up to 80 seconds) but it doesn't work.

I tried removing the battery and leaving it overnight and re-inserting. Doesn't work.

Here's the weird thing - the battery seems fine (doesn't drain overnight at 3.8V), but when it's in the device it seems to be draining quickly. The kindle isn't charging it fully even though I've left it for nearly 2 days.

When I keep the power button pressed for around 10 seconds, this happens:

I’m having trouble with my Kindle sometimes when I turn the page. The problem is that when I try to turn the page, the page won’t change, and I’ll try again a few times and it will either take a few minutes just to simply turn the page, or it will freeze completely and I’ll have to refresh my Kindle in the middle of my reading. Is there any way to fix this, or is my Kindle just slow?

Kindle Paperwhite 3rd Generation: Why is my kindle constantly restarting?

My kindle had been having memory problems so I cleared a lot of docs. Then it seems to have gotten caught in a cycle of constantly restarting (and not cleanly, too boot).

If it can't be fixed, how would I get my docs ouot of its memory?

When it’s plugged in (with orange light on) overnight, it still stays on this screen. It does not respond to the power button being held down > i see green and orange blinking light and a screen flash, but it returns to the same screen (battery with ! Inside)

Normally when I open the case my Paperwhite automatically switches on but not today!! I've also tried pressing the on button at the bottom but still to no avail :-( it looks like it's frozen and I don't know how to rectify it. Any help much appreciated.

Hi!

I have a Kindle Paperwhite, 6" High Resolution Display (300 ppi) with Built-in Light, Wi-Fi - bought in October 2015.

Kept well, it hasn't fallen down, nothing untoward. Stopped working. The screen had an erratic display for a while, and has now stopped responding.

Can anyone help?

Hello,

I have a paperwhite. Everything was normal until yesterday. I had recharged it on saturday. I used it on saturday and sunday (there should be still pretty much battery). But i couldn't open it on sunday evening. Couldn't restart/hard reset it. I plugged it on my computer. It didn't show up on my computer. Even if battery is dead, i thought i could see it on my computer as a USB stick. I charged it for 10 hours but still battery lamp is orange not green. What is the problem ?

I found my kindle paperwhite frozen after not using to 2 month. Tried to reset / charge but nothing seems to be responding, Not even green / amber charge light when connecting to wall charger.

I have opened it even tried removing battery for few min and test but it still not responding, screen remains on same standby state even after removing battery.

Can any one help me in fixing this as Amazon support is not helpful and device is out of warranty.

Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen: Magnetic Casing Causing the Unit to Not Stay On

I've followed every step in the Amazon playlist (Outside of opening it up) and nothing is working to get this kindle to turn on and stay on. It will power up for half a second then fall asleep. The battery seems fine from the outside. We did have a magnetic case on it and I'm worried that somehow has messed it up. When I do the hard reset it will even go through the whole boot system (30 seconds plus) but then once it's loaded it turns off. That's why my guess is that it's something to do with the magnetic case. Obviously I removed that but I'm about to open it up and see if there is any visible issues. What exactly should I be looking for?

Kindle Paperwhite 1st Generation: Screen Display only shows the top the bottom is blank.

My Kindle Paperwhite only shows the text on the top half of the screen. When I press the screen at the bottom it flickers but nothing is shown. I can advance to the next page in an e-book, and it will continue displaying text as if I could see the missing portion on the bottom half of the screen.

Kindle Paperwhite 3rd Generation: Recharging Kindle battery seems to drain power.

My Kindle Paperwhite battery was down to about 1/4, so I plugged it in to recharge. When I went to check on it a couple hours later, it gave the “out of battery” symbol (battery with an exclamation point in the middle). I tried a hard restart with it plugged into the wall, but all it does is light up for a couple seconds, then give me the same “out of battery” symbol. The battery seems to have drained instead of charging. Is this fixable, or is it just time to throw this unit away and get a new one?

For some context. I just got gifted this kindle so if I can fix it it's mine and I need an upgrade from my 4th gen non-touch kindle.

I've tried the holding the button method for a reset. The screen flickers black then white again and it's stuck on the screen again.

I tried plugging it in my macbook but it doesn't show up even during resetting

Any ideas on how to fix that?
