I dropped my Kindle, and it won't turn off or turn on unless the auto-wake case is on it. Other then that it works perfectly fine. How do I fix this?

I had a pair of wired headphones and I had the jack suck an do forgot so I decided that my new head phones can go in but when I tried it pushed the jack in further and I can not find a place to get it out

The two delicate flex cables that connect the display assembly to the motherboard came off the connection ports while I was replacing the battery. The ends do not look broken. What is the best way to reattach them? do I have to remove the battery cover?

Kindle Fire HD 8.9": Why is youtube blocked?

I opened my silk browser. One of the tabs I often have up and ready at opening is to some music video on youtube. A few days ago, it refused to open saying it was unavailable and that youtube had given an invalid response. It also includes a red reload link, which does nothing. I have tried clearing cache. I have dumped tabs with youtube and attempted entering through youtube's home page. The resulting error page is IMMEDIATE. There is no pause, the processor doesn't have to think about it, the address does not require time to resolve or load. This would indicate to me that the site is blocked for some reason by Amazon. I make this statement because my wife's older Kindle HD responds in exactly the same way. So the obvious question is: What the he** is going on here, and why? Anyone know what's happening and care to enlighten me?

I've had my Kindle Fire HD for 3 years now. 2 weeks ago while it was charging, the screen distorted and then went to white, black and blue bars. I replaced the screen using instructions on this website. The new screen is working perfect. But now, when I play any games or listen to music, it starts to overheat, like a lot! I opened it up and found that heat was coming from where the processor is, under the copper foil. Is there anyway to fix this or is my device just done?

I walked in one day and my kindle fire hd refused to turn on. I've made a visual inspection of the motherboard and battery nothing seems out of sorts. Is there a way to tell if the battery itself is the problem or if there is something else i can try. I am not terribly concerned about the fire itself, there is a good amount of data on the harddrive that i need to get off. I'd love to get the fire working again but the data is more important. Is there anyway that i can get the data out? or tell if the battery is working so that I don't waste my money trying to fix it.

Hello, i've been using this system to read books but one day I realized that my kindle would no longer boot up, it would get to the bootscreen and then turn back off when I plugged it in. I then looked at the power button to find that it's pressed in and have tried everything to get it unstuck, I tried using tape to get it out. I would try to pry it out with a knife but I don't want to risk breaking the system. Any help?

I dropped my kindle and the glass is cracked, i am still able to play games on it, i use one of the screen saver plastic strip, I would like to replace the glass, I saw that it might be a digitizer to replace instead, Can you tell me what I can do? And where I can get it done, or instructions how to fix it myself?

Have had my Kindle Fire hd for about one week. All of a sudden, things wouldn't open unless I tap twice on them, but most of the time, even that doesn't work. It's pretty useless to me know because it's so frustrating. I had a kindle fire, and recently upgraded because I loved my kindle fire. I'm very disappointed that I have had it approx. one week and I can't use it. I've tried everything and nothing works.

Kindle Fire HD: Connects to router, displays IP but says not connected to Internet?

My Kindle Fire HD has been working for almost 2 years.

Suddenly in the last week I cannot connect to the internet.

The tablet connects to the router and displays and excellent signal and an IP address is visible.

However, when attempting to use Silk Browser or go the Appstore it says. "No internet connection".

Kindle Customer Service was no help. They said, "buy a new one".

Kindle Fire HD: Keyboard won't pop up

I only had my Kindle Fire HD for a matter of months before the keyboard stopped popping up. I click into a Search Bar (or something else that requires me to type) and... nothing. This obviously limits its function, so now it's pretty much just a dust collector. Any suggestions?

So my kindle fire powered off. I have charged it. I can tell its on because the kindle makes a chime when turning the volume up or down. THe kindle shows nothing, it looks like its off.
