Kindle Fire HD 8: Charger must be bent at a certain angle to actually charge device

I’ve tried multiple chargers with it but they all do the same thing. If I want the device to charge, i have to bend the charger toward the screen which could damage the charger and the charging port.

I have no idea what’s wrong with it, so help would be nice :)

Kindle Fire HD 8: Why did the screen stop working when it fell from less than a foot?

First of all, I don't know the exact model of my Amazon Kindle so the device may not be entirely accurate (yes this is kind of a throw away email because I don't have a main google account and I did sign up specifically for this question but I really want/need help). When I was going to pick my device up (no screen protector of any kind), it slipped from my hands and it got dropped less than a foot. I have dropped it before farther with no issues other than some cracks on the screen and no new crack appeared, but once I turned it on the screen only displayed black with some flickering and multicolored lines. I tried hitting the back of it and dropping it from short distances and holding the power button and while I have made some progress fixing it I'm having no further luck. Now around a third of the screen (bottom right corner) displays normally other than some shacking but the rest is still completely broken (the right section of the screen can be different colors but it's usually mostly a solid color). Both the volume and power buttons still work because even though I can't see the pop ups from them, they still make the same sound as normal. I took a picture of what it looks like while on and I have also taken one of how it looks while off to show the previous cracks on the screen. I'm wondering if there's any way to fix it at all. Thanks.

Kindle Fire HD 8: Amazon Fire 8 HD (8th gen) tablet won't charge or completely power on

When trying to power on and also anytime it's connected to a charger it keeps repeating probably about the first 4 seconds of the start up process of sounding off the power on chim while lights up with the Amazon icon which stays lit for about a second then suddenly completely shuts down. I tried powering up while connected to charger and same thing happens, it also continues this routine>>sounding chim-lighting up-suddenly shutting off, the entire time it is connected. After unplugging it flashes empty red battery icon 2-3 times.

**Just an thought but I think that possibly the USB charger end got wet and then was plugged into tablet-- may not have happened or be what's causing problem.

Kindle Fire HD 8: My kindle makes a sound when power is pressed, but won't turn on.

I accidentally left my Fire HD8 under a comforter while charging it; I’m pretty sure it overheated. There was something that looked like condensation on the edge of the screen, but after the kindle cooled down the screen looked normal again. When I press the power button, though, it makes a ringing sound but won’t turn on. I took off the back cover, but I don’t know what the problem is. Maybe battery, but I’m not sure. What should I do?

Kindle Fire HD 8: Unable to lift out the motherboard - RESOLVED

I wanted to remove the motherboard due to something going wrong when modding my Fire, i found out i had to short some pins. But when i removed the back cover, i found out the pins were on the other side. Found screws, i unscrewed them, only to realize i was unable to take the board out. This tablet was taken apart a few times by repair people but not myself, and i don't want to damage anything. Help would be appreciated.

Update (06/16/25)

Well turns out guys i just had to disconnect everything. I was attempting the removal with the display and digitizer connectors still attached, but now i disconnected them and the board came out successfully.

Kindle Fire HD 8: Broken Battery Connector on Mobo

I recently purchased a replacement battery for my Kindle but during the installation process, I inadvertently broke the plastic foundation piece (female) on the motherboard. Is there any way to either replace this part, repair it (even a temporary workaround so I just turn on device and access the data) or access the data if I can't get it to turn on. Is there a way to turn on the device or access the folders without the battery? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! I'm desperate at this point.
