Kindle Fire HDX 7": How do I open my Kindle fire HDX case to replace screen

My screen is cracked on my Kindle Fire 7" HDX and I'd like to replace it, but i'm having trouble even getting the case open. There also don't seem to be any guides on how to do this with an HDX.

I have a 3rd generation 7" Kindle Fire HDX, the screen is broken and completely unresponsive to any input, and the micro USB port doesn't work unless the cord that's plugged in is angled a specific way. A combination of both these things have stopped me from being able to get some very sentimental files off of the device. I've read the relevant repair guides, but I'm very inexperienced with this sort of thing and I'm afraid of doing something wrong and potentially damaging the device further. Is there an alternate way for me to get what I want?

If you are stupid (like me) and buy just a digitizer & not the complete LCD/Digitizer assembly, how would you go about gluing the two together. Or would you need to? I'm not sure if I should just try to resell the digitizer screen and buy a complete assembly & what are the chances of being able to reuse the LCD if I can separate it from the broken digitizer? I didn't see that they were fused together until after my purchase. :( Thanks for any help!

I have kindle fired HDX 3rd gen, 2013, thanks to a wayward app has bricked the device,

system see's as unknown usb device adb drivers do not see it, attaching fastboot cable does nothing, other hdx's work on same pc and are seen, is it possible to fix by getting donor hdx w/cracked screen or something and moving the innerds to uncracked system ?

At about 25 second mark is when I get prompted on unrecognized usb device, however nothing further waiting the full 60 seconds though,

Kindle Fire HDX 7": do I need an adhesive replacement

The Kindle HDX 7” uses adhesive to glue down the battery and the plastic upper bezel over the volume buttons and speakers. Once I remove that adhesive, what do I replace it with, or is it even necessary?

Kindle Fire HDX 7": Recently replaced screen cracked and half unresponsive

I replaced the screen to my Kindle fire HDX, but because it's the most difficult thing to repair without breaking (everything is glued together and the back doesn't easily come off the tablet) I ended up cracking the screen when trying to snap the backing on. Because it's so old I didn't really care about the cracks in the screen, I was more worried about the digitizer. Of course, the crack in the screen caused the left side to be unresponsive to touch--but, if I press down on the unresponsive side, it starts to freak out thinking someone's tapping/sliding the screen- so it's not compleatly unresponsive on that side.

Is it possible that if I take the backing off again that the screen will be responsive because it won't have as much pressure from the crack? The back was nearly impossible to remove and now it's squeezed back in which is why the screen cracked).

If I remove the backing and try to readjust it, could that help?

I really don't want to go through the process again let alone pay for another screen, but at the same time because it's cracked I don't want the entire screen to fall apart if I try to take the backing off again...

Amazon offered me 15$ towards a new kindle if I exchange it, but somehow I don't think I want to take that offer.

Is it difficult to replace the USB port on my kindle fire because I am having major problems trying to charge it up. The USB is not connecting right all the time and I have to keep wiggling it to connect.

I hope its a simple task and not expensive as I can't afford a lot of money to repair and I can't replace it either.

I haven’t used this device in many years and it probably is due to the battery but there is no low battery icon when power button is pressed/held (it is dead) and I want to know if it’s safe to charge or if it will even do anything if charged.

Kindle Fire HDX 7": speakers work only when screen is compressed..loose connection inside?

sound is intermittent and only when screen is pushed and held down in one area.I am guessing that there is a loose connection inside which feeds the speakers and earphone. Earphone does not work at all. speakers only when a certain spot is held down.

I bought a new Fire 7 after Christmas from Amazon.

Immediately after registering, Junk game crap filled the screen. When I restarted the Fire, a different game appeared. I do not wish to see any of this. When I was able to break out, the same stuff appeared after an idle period.

I have used Android phones and tablets. I did hard resets and each time, the same junk appeared.

This has to stop!!!! Some must have an answer. As it stands now, I can't even use it as a paper weight cause it's too light.
