Kindle DX: blank display, no indicators, won't connect to computer,

device seems to have just died.

no indicators even after charging.

doesn't appear on computer when connected.

could this be a bad battery? Can they be replaced?

Kindle DX: Can't turn off wireless

When i press the home button, It goes to the amazon store. When I press the menu button letters just come up in the search line. when I press the back button it goes to the book I was reading.

Before this, when reading the menu screen would keep popping on and off. it is an old kindle,

Kindle DX: Is there any way to fix a broken button?

Is there any way to fix a button that has physically broken in half? It is the main toggle button between the menu and back button on the Kindle DX. If it cannot be fixed, is there a new model that would be recommended that is similar. I have very poor eyesight and this model has been very good for me because I can make the font very large and it is not backlit.

I have an original Kindle DX that will only function when connected via USB. Screen and everything except the battery still works brilliantly. Any chance the battery can be replaced by me?

Kindle DX: Corrupted screensaver frozen, can't be reset or navigated

My six-year-old Kindle DX has a corrupted screensaver image with a lot of random lines and patches of black and white, all frozen on the screen. When I use the navigation buttons, I can see things faintly happening in the background, but I can't see through the mess on the screen to read or do anything else.

Because of that, I can't switch Whispernet/wireless on, to upgrade the software, as Amazon has advised.

All efforts to reset the device, following Amazon's instructions, have failed.

Amazon technical support can't help; all they do is offer a tiny discount on a new, small Kindle which I don't want.

Is there any way, or anyone, to repair this otherwise-perfectly-good reader that I spent a lot of money for, back in 2010? I'm in New Zealand, but bought it in the USA.

Kindle DX: Unable to get charger to make good connection

You have to "jiggle" the charger cable connector at the Kindle input connector to get the "charging" light to come one, but just a minor movement and it goes off. It appears the input connection in the Kindle is worn or otherwise won't make good connection with the charger connector (tried two different charger cables, including one brand new one)

Kindle DX Graphite: My kindle is stuck on the low battery screen

My kindle dx graphite is stuck on the low battery screen, even though I have plugged it in and the charging light glows yellow. Its been many years since ive charged. Ive tried resetting by holding the power button for many seconds- i tried 30 and 15 separately. Any help is appreciated.
