Kindle 2: My Kindle is charged, but will not turn "on"?

My Kindle is charged, but it will not turn on. It suddenly stopped working. The green light illuminating the On switch doesn't come on and the Kindle doesn't respond which I slide the On switch.

Kindle 2: Why is my screen frozen even after hard reset?

My Kindle screen and keys have been freezing. The keys get stuck and look like they're being pressed over and over again on the screen, even when they aren't being pressed.

I did a hard reset and seemed to fix the problem for a while. Then the keys kept getting stuck again.

I did a hard reset again and now the screen is frozen at the "Amazon Kindle please wait a moment while your Kindle starts up" screen and nothing I do changes it.

My kindle 2 screen is no longer working. It's mostly blank but does

have some horizontal and vertical lines on it. I've looked at your

kindle 2 break down and it looks like the guts of the kindle are

attached to the screen. If I'm wrong, can just the screen be

replaced. Can't find anything on the internet for just the screen but

am hoping you may be able to help.

Kindle 2: Can American kindle2 be modded to connect wirelessly in Canada?

I purchased the Kindle2 before they were available in Canada. I can connect to Whisper net if I go to the U.S.

I see on the Ifixit that there is a wireless card in the Kindle but I don't see the equivalent of a sim card or whatever has the protocols to connect to a cell phone system. DEoes any one know how this works or if I can mod the Kindle 2 to behave like the new Kindle 3 that I just got?

I have my Kindle connected to my PC via a USB port, the kindle is fully charged, and my PC won’t recognize the device, it even isn’t showing up in device manager! The firmware is 2.5.2, and the serial starts with B003. I have also installed The Kindle app on PC, and it still won’t recognize it.

Kindle 2: Why does my earphones Sound muffled. (Device doesn't apply to this)

Whenever I plug in my earphones in my computer to listen to music, my earphones sound muffled. And when I press this button on my headphone, it clears up and I can hear the lyrics and the music cleared up. How do I make the audio clear without pressing and holding the button? My computer is a Windows 10 btw

Kindle 2: Open Mark Twain story

I downloaded Mark Twain's complete works. I can open it and chapter headings appear but I cannot open any of the stories as much as I click on them, only says create highlight, etc.

All else works fine on my kindle, 2nd generation.

Kindle 2: Battery and charging light

Two Kindle 2's. Both decided to quit taking a charge. Changed the batteries, and when plugged into a charger the charging light doesn't come on, but apparently they are charging. What is my problem with the lights not coming on? Second. Checked the voltage on the batteries. four places to check on the battery. first battery, #4 is ground. #1 shows 2.97 volts. #2 & #3 show no voltage. Battery #2 #1 shows no voltage, #2 and #3 show 2.4 volts. What is going on there?? Any Ideas.

Kindle gen 2. I originally had critical battery screen. I reset it and it would charge until I got a green light but would get critical battery screen again after about half hour. I replaced the battery. Now still have critical battery screen and it will not reset or charge. Tried on wall charger and computer. Orange light comes on then goes out after a minute or so.

After all this time, someone threw a heavy book on my Kindle, breaking the toggle button. This is the main button to do everything.

It broke it in half and it is still in the Kindle but it won't work.

Can it be fixed? I love my Kindle.

Kindle 2: Split display, top part of the screen is repeated in the bottom

I just bought a used kindle, and it did not appear to be defective. The screen split after I reset the password. My kindle become defective like this one.The screen is normal in the top half, but the top half is repeated in the bottom half. What is causing this? I don't even know what part of the Kindle I should replace.
