Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Dryer won't stay hot

I have a Sears Kenmore 80 Series Gas Dryer (Model 110.72822101) that dries only when it feels like it. Since it's over 25 years old, it doesn't owe me a thing. However, I think it's probably something simple to fix. I watched through the hole in the front, and this is what happens: 10 secs after I push Start, the igniter glows for about 10 secs and then the flame catches. It burns for about 7-8 mins and goes out. I continued to watch for about 5 mins, and every 45 secs the igniter would glow but the flame wouldn't catch. I've left it running for about 15 mins and checked it every few minutes... same thing. It doesn't matter if I have it set on Auto Moisture Sensing or Timed Drying. I Googled the "symptoms" and several videos came up. Apparently, my problem may be 1) No gas reaching the dryer (clearly this isn't it since it ignited for 7-8 mins); 2) gas valve assembly; 3) gas valve coil; 4) clogged orifice. When I let the dryer cool and then try again, the flame usually catches. Any ideas?

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: My dryer won’t start

My Kenmore elite dryer was working great but now won’t start. I had an appliance repair person come out and tell me that is was the timer. I ordered the new timer and put it in. Still not starting, so I replaced the fuse and the door switch. I’m out of ideas. There is a hum when you press the start button so the power is getting to the timer.

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Why is my dryer not heating?

We have a whirlpool dryer older model. My husband has tested EVERYTHING for continuity, everything seems to check out fine and getting electricity. We just 2 weeks ago cleaned the venting system out because the dryer stopped working all together, we replaced the thermal fuse and it started working again. But Now it runs but doesn’t heat? We have pulled the motor out as well and that’s getting continuity as well. Is there anything we are missing here? Please help!

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Replaced ALL dryer heating elements- still blows cold air

I have a Kenmore dryer model 110.61202013. I’ve replaced the heating element, cycling thermostat, thermal fuse and thermostat within the last week. The dryer blew out hot air for 60 seconds after the dryer was put together. Washed a load of towels- the dryer started back blowing cold air. What possibly went wrong within an hour after replacing the parts?

Kenmore Series 80 Dryer: Gas Dryer heats and runs for 5 min and shuts off

Kenmore model 110.73942101 the dryer will heat up and run for about 5-10 min and then shut off. It will do this three times and then run great it will do it on every load. I have do all the test and every item checks out fine timer, thermister, heat relay and high limit switch I have also checked the resistance on the thermistor at the specified temps the gas valve coil test all meet resistance guidelines. I replaced the control board and it still does the same thing While doing all this I have noticed it starts to run and call for heat the igniter will have 1 volt at the plug but it will take about 1-2 seconds before it will start to glow and thats win it will shut off the dryer. What would cause this

Thank you

I'm lost and new to trying to fix my own appliances. I'm sure this is a novice question but we all start somewhere, right? For backstory... The motor definitely ceased as my dryer stopped mid cycle. Wouldn't start back up. Buzzing sound when I pushed start button. If I pushed too long, I tripped the breaker. Motor and fan were stuck. Ended up buying a new fan. Thermafuse is new as well. That occured because my husband insisted it was the thermafuse when i was certain it was the motor. $5 replacement. Ran for 1 dry cycle and ceased again mid cycle with a loud noise before stopping for the last time. 😂 I established I was correct from the beginning and motor needed replaced.

Fastforward....

I bought a used motor with a 30 day guarantee off Ebay. I got it set and followed the instructions. Pushed start got a loud noise. It sounded the same as the dryer did when the motor went out. I tried setting and resetting the motor several times now.I did get it quieter but I'm lost. I am so sure it's set correctly. Yet still a loud noise. Did I buy a bad motor? Belt, pulley and rollers look good according to all the repair videos I have seen. Uploaded a clip of the noise incase it is helpful.
