Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Dryer stopped in middle of a cycle.

I have a Kenmore Electric dryer model 110.69622800 type DWSR-ele-2406026 CV 54. I unassembled the dryer completely. Cleaned every area. Spun the shaft of the motor….slight friction noise, but seems to turn freely. Seems there is a signal returning back to the start button - faint "click" or "trip" that will not allow the dryer to turn on. Dryer is younger than 6 years, but has dried clothes for 6 people - 2 loads per day average!

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Relay clicks, but dryer won't turn on

I’ve got a Kenmore model 110.78832700 natural gas dryer that’s stopped turning on. When you click the start button you can hear a relay click, but nothing happens. Before it stopped working you’d sometimes have to give the drum a push to get it to start spinning, so maybe I’ve burned out the motor?

If I’m lucky it sounds like my issue might be the thermal fuse:

https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/...

Any ideas or things I should check? Or should I just start by replacing the thermal fuse and see if that fixes it?

Model info:

Update: I disassembled it and bypassed the thermal fuse (I think), but it’s still the same behavior. I also broke the belt, but it looks like it was ready to break. There was huge amounts of lint everywhere inside the dryer, which can’t be helping it. I’m not sure if the next culprit is the actual motor, or ?

Lint everywhere:

Broken belt:

Motor:

Motor details:

Bypassed thermal fuse:

Update 2 (testing thermal fuse, start switch, and door switch per @mayer)

Thermal fuse seems good, I have continuity over the contacts:

Start switch seems good, no continuity normally, continuity when pressed:

Door switch I’m not entirely sure on, I have continuity between white and brown when not pressed, no continuity when pressed. I’m not certain if this is correct, but I do also hear an audible click when pressing/releasing the door switch:

Update 3:

I found a troubleshooting guide inside the dryer! I haven’t entirely comprehended everything in here, but it includes a wiring diagram and it seems like a lot of other good information. If anyone has ideas on what to try next I’m all ears…

Update 4:

I ordered a belt:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M...

and a motor:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D...

I’ll report back after they’re installed…

Update 5:

I plugged in the new motor and it turns on! I also received the new belt and it looks to be correct. However, I’ve been unable to get the blower wheel off the old motor (and at this point I think destroyed that blower wheel):

Also, I think I’ve found the root cause of this whole problem, the idler pulley barely turns and looks like it has belt burned onto it:

I’m still in the process of figuring out how to get the blower wheel off the old motor…

Meanwhile, I’ve ordered a new blower wheel:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B008...

And idler pulley:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H...

Once the wheel and pulley arrive I just might be able to put this all back together and have a dryer again!

Update 6:

I received the blower wheel and idler pulley. The wheel’s correct, but the idler pulley is the wrong part. It’s more-or-less a mirror image of the part I need.

Old is on the bottom and new is on the top:

I definately ordered the wrong part. Trying again, with what’s hopefully the correct idler pulley:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018...

Update 7:

It might be fixed! I think I’ve got a little bit of alignment problem between the blower wheel and the lint screen duct. If I put the screws in all the way the blower wheel rubs, but as long as I don’t tighten down the screws it’s fine. I’ve also got a few extra screws…

Look at my dryer turning and burning and blowing!

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Kenmore Dryer Noise Model 110.87692100 with Video

My dryer just started making noise. It seems to come and go. It’s a model 110.87692100. Here is a video with the noise. It gets the worse around 3 seconds. This just continues in a cycle, sometimes being quiet for a while.

Here is the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVthYKjg...

Here is a picture of the full SN label.

I trying slowing the drum with my hand (carefully), and it doesn’t make the sound worse or better, but it does change the sound because the speed changes. I tried pushing the drum up down left and right and that didn’t trigger the noise. It’s a pretty fast sound (rotationally), so I was thinking about the motor.

Any thoughts?

Also doesn’t anyone have the repair manual for this unit?

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Dryer stops running in the middle of cycle.

I have a Kenmore MOD 110.6192311, DWJR-ELE_2406026-FM24. The dryer has started shutting off in the middle of a dry cycle. I go in and hit start and it starts right back up. It will run for anywhere between 2 minutes and the end of the cycle before it stops again. I removed and tested the door switch, it might be faulty, so I jumped the wires and bypassed the switch, and still having the same issues. It also is not heating up like it should, but that more random then the shutting off.

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: Why is it taking 3 hours to dryer clothes?

Hello, I really could use some help with a dryer issue I am experiencing. My Kenmore 11061402311 dryer takes very long to dry. I have almost exhausted the internet resources regarding a solution. I have opened the dryer up and cleaned the lint. I have reattached the dryer vents and used aluminum tape on the joints. There is definitely heat because the clothes are warm. I have been putting the clothes on high heat to bypass the chance that any wetness sensor is affecting the drying times. I put in a kitchen thermometer with a load and it read around 110-115 Fahrenheit.

At this point, I suspect the causes are either:

# a heating element is at least partially faulty (Can the heating element be at fault even if it is working somewhat?); and/or

# a sensor that regulates the maximum heat is faulty and preventing it from getting hotter (While using it on the high heat cycle instead of the auto dry cycle, could a sensor be involved that could affect the high heat cycle temp? I would assume that this cycle would automatically dry at the hottest temp; and/or

I still have the exhaust vents installed wrong.

Thank you so much for any help that can be provided.

Kenmore Series 110 Dryer: The replaced Thermal fuse quickly trips.

I've replaced the thermal fuse on this dryer, and the new fuse trips almost immediately. The dryer cycle runs to completion, without heat. There is at least 6" clearance all around the unit. What causes the rapid trip on the fuse?

Update (01/22/24)

Should have included, the airflow through the exhaust vent is good.
