I've taken apart plenty of washers but this one is different and incredibly frustrating. I have a Kenmore 80 Series 110.16862502 and I cannot open it up to change the latch switch. Any suggestions? Nothing like it online anywhere. The back is one piece and the side caps are screwed to the control panel from the inside.

I have a Kenmore 800 that won't complete its rinse cycle during a normal wash.

After the initial wash it drains the soapy water it then starts putting fresh water in but then stops before there's enough water to actually do a proper rinse then stops.

If I then manually set it to run a rinse only cycle it completes both the rinse and spin just fine.

Issue happens with both normal and heavy duty cycles.

Kenmore 80 Series Washing Machine: Can't get transmission shaft out to replace the clutch

I have a kenmore series 80. It doesn't spin well so I think it needs a new clutch. However, the transmission is totally stuck and I can't remove the transmission shaft out of the drum. Is it just rusted solid and beyond repair, or what could i do to fix it? I also can't get the tub nut off, even with the special tub nut wrench.

Kenmore 80 Series Washing Machine: Dripping water into the machine

Hi there, love this machine - it's over 20 years old and strong! It just started dripping water into the machine tub. It's coming from the center where water fills the tub. Is this an easy repair or is it time to replace? I can do very minor repairs, but would most likely have to call in for service. Thanks!

Kenmore 80 Series Washing Machine: motor does not stop to trigger the final spin cycle

Have similar problem. All cycles including spin cycle after wash. Problem happens at the end of the rinse cycle, tube totally drains, but the motor does not stop to trigger the final spin cycle, just continues to pump all the way through spin cycle without a spin. motor stop at the end leave clothes very wet, need to run a second spin....

Now did find out that if I lift the Lid at the beginning of spin cycle (stopping the motor) and close the lid it activates the spin cycle, Wala clothes come out dry... It appears Lid switch is working properly, I have replace the clutch no change, all drain hoses are clear no obstructions. seems have to do with sensing end of rinse/drain to trigger motor to stop the start at begin of spin trigger final spin.

Wondering about drain pipe height....manual says 39" FROM FLOOR. Mine is 43" from floor but only 30" to the trap that then does a 90 parallel to floor. Does that matter? Should I extend drain pipe 10"?

Kenmore 80 Series Washing Machine: Washer and dryer will not provide any heat.

I’ve been using my washer and dryer for months now but since the last week-ish both my dryer and washer will either not give any warm water from the washer or give any “hot air”/dry the clothes in the dryer. The dryer could be running and spin for hours but clothes would remain cold and damp even when on the highest temperature setting. The washer also won’t use warm water in the cycle, when put on warm or hot temperature the clothes will still be cold. This seemingly came out of no where as I have not tweaked with the washer and dryer at all. Is it wear and tear? An internal issue? Piping? I don’t know much about washer/dryer machines so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
