Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: Disassembling my Kenmore 70 series model#110.82370120

When I open the lid the tub is leaning to one side, and the washer is very susceptible to spinning slightly off balance with a faint knocking sound, even if I manually balance out the clothes carefully during the pause before the spin. The only time the washer does not knock on spin is if the tub is empty, or has an extremely light load(like a few socks, etc.)

So I want to properly take the machine apart and figure out how to check the dampers, shock absorbers, suspension rods/springs,counter balance ring, or whatever part on this model will be responsible for the issue.

(*Also, I replaced the drain pump with an OEM part from GRP several months ago. The washer was laying front side down to expose the bottom for quite a few days. After replacing it, the washer runs with a louder sound as if something is struggling. I heard this is normal for a newly installed pump at first, but it still does that today. So I don't know if any of this has anything to do with the knocking. Because the off balance issue gradually started way before the drain pump issue.)

Thank you for any help from anyone who has this type of knowledge or experience.

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: Does this machine only have 2 centering springs?

I changed the suspension rods on this machine. However it only had 2 centering springs on 2 of them. They were on the right side facing the front of the machine. There were none on the left side. I didn’t find any evidence of them either. Should it have 4 centering springs on them?

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: Washer powers down during detergent dispensing

I have a Kenmore front loading washer model 11047561603. Recently the machine shuts off completely about 3-4 minutes into any cycle selected. It appears to do so during the soap dispensing at the beginning. The door remains locked and pressing the power button, or any button for that matter does nothing. Breaker is fine, and tried unplugging the machine, waiting 5 minutes and plugging back in but to no avail.

What I finally found works is completely removing the detergent dispensing drawer and then sliding it back in. After I do this I can power up the machine but it reverts to what it looks like after a power failure.

I have run the diagnostics using the control panel but no codes are returned. I can unlock the door to remove clothing during the testing but beyond that I cannot get a cycle to complete. Thanks for any advice you may have!

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: 411 appliance is Much2.com now and charges, can someone tell age?

Hi, folks.

The other link to appliance 411 now sends people to much2.com and they charge for the data. I figure someone here may have an account.

We have an old 70-series Kenmore washer made by whirlpool, and my wife won’t let me sleep until she knows how old it is (other than “really old”) so hopefully someone can help. Decoder sites talk about serial numbers starting with two letters, so I think those are newer.

If I had to guess I’d date it to the mid-nineties or older.

Model No: 110.82870800

Serial: C9055B431

I appreciate whatever help you can provide.
