KDL50W800C: Left half of screen is distorted with three bands

A Sony KDL50W800C started displaying a distorted image on 3 distinct vertical bands on just the left half of the screen. Initially 10 April they were minor but have gradually become much worse with lots of psychedelic colors. I will attach some photos. I did the self check diagnostics page but the only error was back in 2021. Changing to wide screen doesn't change the bands. I have tried a replacement T-CON board but this resulted with a complete white screen and the TV was inoperable.

Back of the panel with boards removed. How to get access to the LCD driver boards?

Hi,

I have sony w800d tv and i recently replaced it's tcon board because I was having 5 times red light blinking issue. But after 3 days my tv started to blink again but when i turn off the tv then it's not turning on not even the indication light. But when i disconnect the tcon board from main board the tv turn on and when ie my old tcon board, it is also turning on but red light blinking as usual but when I connect new tcon board it is not turning on. Then removed the tcon board and turned on the tv then connect the tcon board after turning on the tv the display turns on and everything is working fine but when i turn off the tv it's not turning on. Help me guys.

And my multimeter it's a basic one.

Is this ok?

When I google the tcon board for this model all the boards are blue but I can't find that board on my tv

Have this issue with my TV where the screen would work for 5-10 seconds when switched on and then goes black. I can still hear sounds and the backlight is working.

I also note that if I leave the TV unplugged for a few hours, then turn it back on. The screen will now work fine for a few minutes before showing double image,l. This is again follow by a black screen after a few minutes.

I have tried unplugging both left and right tapes connected to the TCON board (while the screen is working) and note that half of the screen would flicker briefly before the whole screen goes blank. This happens regardless of the side that is disconnected.

Would replacing the TCON board likely fix the problem? Or could the problem be elsewhere.

I completed a hard reset by unplugging the power cable for 60 secs and then holding down the volume down and the power button while plugging in the power cable. The light turned green and the TV successfully tuend on with no issues and a great picture. Turned the TV on and off after about an hour of use and then turned on with no issues, one power cycle. It sat overnight, approximately 14 hours plugged in with no operation. Turned on and the the TV has the 4 blinking lights again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

at first when open the sony logo will show then the 4 round object then black then white screen the indicator light is blinking and no sounds/figures

I have a Sony 43 inch W800D model tv. It was working fine but suddenly I saw vertical lines developing at bottom part of tv. I can see visual under that lines. No other problems. Is there any way to fix it than replacing the tv.
